Jack's POV

I'm running to the graveyard as fast as I can. When I see her sitting there I run even faster.  "Hi," I say, out of breath. She doesn't respond. I sit down next to her on the curb. "What happened?" Luna finally replies, "I was standing there, waiting for you to get back. Then I ran into Julian. He shoved me and I dropped what I was holding, now before you ask 'What were you holding' let me tell you. I was holding something my dad gave me before he died. It was a little glass duck, he gave it to me when I was a baby, it was the only thing I had left of him." Her eyes start tearing up.

Luna stands up and starts running. At first I was in to much shock to follow. Then, when I realized what was happening I started running after her. I had no idea where she was going, but I had one instinct, follow her.

When we finally stopped, I realized where we. We were at the town bridge that goes over a huge river, No.

I look around trying to find Luna, when I see her I realize she is sitting on the barrier between the sidewalk and the endless fall down to the river.

"Luna don't do it." I say with desperation in my voice. "Jack you want to know the reason I'm not dead yet," she says to me, "It was you, Jack, you were the only thing I was holding on to in the dang world. I love you, Jack, more than I love myself."

I walk up to Luna and say to her, "Luna, I love you too, so please don't kill yourself, because I would never forgive myself if you did" Luna turns around. She looks me in my eyes, and I look at hers too. It was my Hazelnut eyes against her cold grey ones.

Then, without even thinking, I smashed our lips together. At first it was awkward because we're in 7th grade, what did you expect, but then it was more tender and loving. It was like all the words we wanted to say were put into that kiss. We rested our pressed our foreheads together. For the first time in what felt like forever Luna smiled. A genuine smile.

                                 It was amazing.
