Ch.17:.Await

LAU POV

I still have not find my broder. I mean come on man, I look everywhere for him. I call up all our crew and they no see him either. He can't be too far away, I have the car, and he not like walking far. This boy has to be nearby. I can feel it in my gut. I arrived back at the apartment and plopped down on the couch. I scratched my scalp as I tried to think of anyone else who could have seen him recently. I mean I had an idea but it seemed pretty far fetched. I wanted to call but I felt as if I be bombarded with questions. I decided that if any questions were asked I just reply with a simple "I don't know". I picked up my phone and pressed the contact name "Popcorn". I pressed call and waited as the dial tone. I finally heard a voice but it was not the one I was expecting.

"The caller you were trying to reach is not available right now, please leave a me-"

J'ai raccroché et contemplais si je devrais essayer de nouveau. Probablement occupé. Je ne veux pas être déranger, mais le bien-être de mon frère est plus important pour moi que tout. J'ai appelé à nouveau et après environ 5 anneaux j'ai enfin entendu la ligne ramasser. (I hung up and contemplated on whether I should try again. Probably busy. I don't want to be bother, but the well-fare of my brother is more important to me than anything. I called again and after about 5 rings I finally heard the line pick up.)

"Allo?" I spoke into the phone. All I could hear was silence. "Um.. Seyanna?"

"Yes.." she spoke in a low voice.

"Hey! Long time no talk, how you doing?" I asked.

"I'm okay.. and you?" she asked gloomily.

"Same. You feeling okay?" I questioned concernedly at her tone.

"Well if you mean "Do you feel ashamed and embarrassed" then yeah you can say that." She replied.

"What happen to you?!" I pondered.

"W-Wait.. you mean your brother didn't tell you?" She said confused.

"I not see my brother all day, you see him?" I said confused as well.

"Yeah.. he came over to pick up his medication then kinda cussed me out for being nosey.."

"Oh no.. no no god no. When did he come?" I practically yelled into the phone.

"Like 30 minutes ago..why? Is everything ok-" she tried to get out.

"No something is terribly wrong. Do you know where he is? Please tell me you do," I panicked.

"No.. he just came, passed out on my couch, and left. Now that I think about it, it was actually kind of funny th-"

"I keep call him and he wont answer me. My god I need to get to him NOW. Can you call him for me?" I pleaded

"Well I could try but he is probably still cross at me from earlier." She said.

"What happen earlier? I asked.

"I told you he yelled at m-" she said.

"For what?" I said.

"I guess I asked him a personal question" she said.

"What you ask him girl don beat around bush!" J shouted.

"I asked him about his pills." she said.

"No worry about that, he not need those anymore. Forget about them." J said.

"Okay...well do you still want me to call him?" she asked.

"Ouais, please." I confirmed.

I muted my microphone as she dialed his number.

"Hey baby, how you been?" he spoke in a sexual tone.

"Uh.. Hi Larry?" she said.

"Why you no reply to my text? What I do wrong?" he whined. I scrunched my face in confusion. I never knew they talked. I was a bit disappointed.. Why Larry not tell me of this?

"What are you talking about? I didn't get a text." she asked confusingly.

"I told you, you shou come see me Belle. I wanna see you Belle." he said.

"Larry weren't you just mad at me earlier?" she asked, puzzled.

"Non baby I was just upset for a minute. Desole. Come see me so I can apologize properly?" he suggested.

"But Larry it's like 10" she retorted.

"I no care baby just come." he said longingly.

"I don't kno-" she said.

"I text you the address oki?" he said.

"Larry I-"

"Cool, I see you in a few, bye belle" he said.

He hung up the line and it was just me and Seyanna.

"Listen Laurent, I have no clue what he was talking about, almost half an hour ago he was cursing at me." she explained.

"I didn't know that you two talked like that.." I said in a low tone.

"Oh noo we don't, like I said I don't know wh-" she said before she was interrupted

A beep sounded from the other line.

"What was that?" I asked.

"That was Larry, he just sent me the address. Listen I don't think I'm going to go, he sounded weird." she said uneasily.

"I go with you to him oki?" I assured her.

"I don't want to get involved in your guys' business I mean.." she said unsure.

"If I go alone alot of bad things going happen so I go with you," I said.

"I mean I guess.." she said hesitantly.

"Ah thank you Belle I love you for this!" I exclaimed

"*sigh* You owe me man," she said.

"No problem, I give you myself" I said nonchalantly.

"Wait what?" she blurted.

"I see you in a bit." I replied.

"What do you me-"

I hung up before she could finish and grabbed my keys.

I know a lot of delayed confrontation is going to unfold, and a lot of skeletons will be released from closets.
