first group therapy session

I shuffle timidly into the slightly larger room than last time, to see seven chairs made into a rather spread out circle.

Five of the seven chairs were currently occupied with unfamiliar faces, all except one. Charlie.

"Luna, hi. Come sit down," Charlie looks up from the small group, grinning at me.

I make my way to one of the unoccupied seats and plaster a slight faux smile on my lips.

I take a look at the people sitting around me. On my left was a skinny, red headed girl with freckles and blue eyes. She looked fragile, like if you touched her, her body could break. She wore a plain black, long-sleeved top and dark blue skinny jeans on her tiny legs.

On my right sat a slightly muscular boy, around my age or older, with his curly, messy, light brown hair tucked under a black fedora. He wore dark grey t-shirt with The Strokes band logo on it. He had a dark red flannel wrapped around his hips and he wore navy blue jeans with black Vans. His wrists were covered in loads of colourful wristbands.

Next to the boy was another boy around what looked like my age, his black hair with hints of purple and red hair sat messily upon his head. His skin was very pale and he looked extremely tired. His eyes were a sort of jade colour and his plump lips were a vibrant shade of pink. His tall figure was arched as he had his elbows on his knees, with his hands supporting his face to keep it up. He was wearing a black Iron Maiden t-shirt and black skinny jeans, which looked like they would be incredible hard to get on.

Beside the red headed girl beside me sat Charlie and next to him was another girl who seemed to stand out quite a lot. Half of her hair was pastel pink and the other was pastel purple. Her hair was curled to perfection and a fringe covered her forehead. A large bow was placed upon her head. She wore a puffy long sleeved shirt under a dress with lots of bows and ruffles on it. The bottom half of the dress was covered in rainbows, kittens and more bows. The whole dress was only pastel colours and it looked like something a doll would wear. Long, pink socks covered her shins and petite purple shoes with small bows were on her feet. Her eyes appeared very large because of contact lenses. She looked very much like a doll.

The seat beside the doll-like girl and the boy with the Iron Maiden top was the only seat available, leaving me wondering who was soon to sit there.

"We're just going to wait for the last person to get here and then we'll start with introductions," Charlie said. The five of us, not including Charlie, stayed completely silent.

"Sorry I'm late," the door flew open, revealing a perfectly tanned boy with dark hair. He rushed inside the room and took his seat next to the Iron Maiden guy.

I studied the dark haired boys features as we waited for Charlie to start. His hair looked like he had made no effort whatsoever. His eyes were a mysterious dark colour and his eyebrows were so incredibly bushy. He wore a grey t-shirt with the NASA logo printed across it. He was wearing plain black jeans with a rip in one of the knees. He wore the same black Vans as the boy with the fedora did.

"Okay. Let's start with your first name, your age and something you enjoy doing," Charlie ended the quiet that had filled the room earlier.

"Let's start with this end and we'll go around the circle," Charlie started, signaling to the dolly girl.

"I'm Lilli, I'm 17 and I love Lolita fashion and everything cute. Lolita fashion is like what I'm wearing. It's mainly pastel colours and it's a little like old Victorian fashion but cuter. Lolita is kind of my escape from reality. I'd much prefer living in a fantasy land than the real world," she smiled a timid smile.
