Chapter 1:(Tris POV)

Beep
I turn off my alarm clock and my brother Caleb hits me in the face with a pillow.
Great way to start off my day. New school in the middle of the year. Ugh.
I get dressed and go downstairs.
"Good morning Beatrice" my mom says.
"Morning" I say grabbing a muffin. My parents are divorced. It's just me, my mom, and Caleb.
Caleb drives us to school. I'm 16 and he's almost 17 he will be next week.
We pull in and go get our schedules. I go to my locker and I see a girl. "OMG hi I'm Christina! You must be new!" She says.
"Hi I'm Tris." I say we compare are schedules. I'm in all but two of her classes because I'm in an advanced math class.
"Ohh my boyfriend Will is in that class!!" She says.
I go to math "I see we have two new students." The teacher says. "Hi I'm Tris." I say. "Hey I'm Caleb" Caleb says. "Well tris there is a spot next to four" She says and points to a boy. Then Caleb finds I seat.
I go sit down. This class is boring.
The rest of the day is boring too.
We drive home and Caleb just runs inside our giant house. We are rich. As I'm going inside I hear yelling next door. "This is for your own good Tobias!!" I hear a man yell. I hear screaming.
