KAYLA.

"i'm just saying, i didn't think the albulm was all that." andre said, talking about famous dex new album.

i furrowed my eyebrows. "how sway?" i said as i went up to order my food.

andre and i were currently at the food court in the mall.

"i didn't really get all the hype, celine is probably the best song on the album." he said.

i sighed. "how are we even friends?"

"because you love me." he said as we walked to a table to eat.

soon enough we finished eating and threw our trash away. i followed andre to his car because i sure as hell didn't remember where he parked it.

"where are we going now?" i looked out the window.

"you'll see." andre turned down parkview avenue, which is where maya stays. i wonder why we were coming down here but i didn't say anything.

he parked his car and handed me a blindfold. "why do i need this?" i asked.

"just put on the blindfold kayla."

"fine." i simply responded.

i heard his door shut and and my door open. he guided me out of the car.

i hope this nigga don't make me trip.

we went into the house and he told me to stand to the side while he closed the door.

"alright, take off the blindfold."

i slowly removed the piece of fabric from my face and noticed that the house was empty besides us two.

"what's going-" i was cut off by a bunch of people yelling.

"happy birthday!" everyone exclaimed. my eyes widened a bit, i noticed the cake that was sitting on the kitchen table.

andre glanced at me and smirked. oh damn, please no.

"do not-" i started to say, but got cut off once again by everyone singing happy birthday. i groaned, attempting to walk away, until andre grabbed my wrist and brought me back.

i hated being sung to, it's just awkward standing there while everyone else is singing.

after what felt like a lifetime, the song was over. andre dragged me over to the kitchen table to blow out the candles. i leaned down and blew out the candles without making a wish. i didn't feel the need to, i was happy with life.
