james potter :; james and iris became friends in first year. they'd all just been sorted and iris didn't know anyone in gryffindor aside from knowing of her distant relative sirius. james went up to iris and started a conversation with her in the great hall and became her first friend at hogwarts.
sirius black :; they're related through iris' aunt druella, as one of her husband's siblings is sirius and regulus' dad. they're good friends and sirius gets iris to loosen up. he also enjoys teasing her about remus.
remus lupin :; iris has been crushing on remus since fifth year. he's the first and only boy she's ever liked, and iris doesn't ever really do anything about her crush. remus is her absolute best friend, and she cares for him more than anything, so she's too scared of ruining their friendship to say something or flirt.
peter pettigrew :; peter always rubbed iris the wrong way. she thought he seemed too moldable, but never was mean to him at all. she appreciates how loyal he is to the mauraders and remus specifically.
