"Here we are Ms. Thompson. It was a pleasure talking to you on the way here. That would be $17.95."
I take my wallet out and give him my debit card as I replied to his sweet compliment.
"Thank you Robert, it was a pleasure talking to you as well."
He gave me a quick smile as he gave me back my card and receipt. I opened the door and went to the back where Robert took my luggage out for me.
"Have a safe trip Ms. Thompson, and forget about all your problems here, as you enter that airport, you should start your new life."
"Thank you so very much for the hope you've given me in a small amount of time. I appreciate it." I smile as I look at my watch and realize I have about three hours left until I have to board the plane, so I get out of the car as Robert does as well to help me get the luggage out from the back.
We said our goodbyes as I stood in front of the sliding doors of the airport. I took a deep breath, and walked in as the cold air of the air conditioning hit my face.
I walk towards the luggage carts, and put everything on top of it. I head towards the luggage check-in and waited in line.
As I waited in line, I took out my passport and my ticket. I won't lie that I was very excited for this new journey.
As the line moved, I noticed someone behind me come up in the line. I turn around quickly, and see a girl maybe a few inches taller than me, just a few.
She was thin and dark and seemed a bit flustered being all by herself.
"Going to London as well?" Might as well try to start a conversation while waiting on line.
"Yeah, I am. Off to a new adventure." She said with a chuckle.
"Ha, same. I'm quite excited to be honest, never really been on a journey like this all by myself."
"Neither have I," and from there on we talked about ourselves and our whole plan for the future.
Her name was Amy Pond. Surprisingly we ended up on the same flight and we talked as we got downstairs to the duty-free shops. I felt a little uneasy though, felt as if someone was watching me. I shrugged the feeling off and continued to talk to Amy about all my past problems, all my future goals. She was an amazing person to vent out to, and it felt great. Finally, getting everything out. Yes, she was just someone I met, but somehow I felt like I could trust her.
