Chapter 7

"That must be Auntie Kat," I conclude and went to go answer the door. "So you finally decided to get yourself a piece of that fine ass," Kat says in a sing song voice as she sets her bag on the sofa. "Oh, please, don't start talking like Maggie," I beg her. "Fine, but you need to tell me everything after," she negotiates. "Okay-" I agree but before I could say anything else I was cut off by another knock on the door. "Is it really 7:30 already? How do I look?" I ask her nervously. "You look real sexy," she promises. "Thank you," I blush as I open the door. "Well, hello beautiful," Tom states as he hands me a Spider-Man chocolate. I smile at him and put the chocolate on the table near the door, "Thank you, Tom. I just need to tell August goodbye and we can get going." I said goodbye to August and Tom took me out to his car. "So what do you have planned?" I ask. "That is going to remain a secret, love," Tom teases me. "Oh, coming from the guy that is known for not keeping secrets," I tease back. "Okay, well here is my little spoiler for you: it has something to do with the Regent's Canal," he spoils to me. I laugh and turn on the radio, we both sang along to the music and it was really fun. It made me wonder that if just sing in the car was fun with him, then how fun could the actual date be. That though got me really excited because I know that Tom will do his best to make this date amazing.

He stops the car and I look out the window to see that we were parked near the Regent's Canals. We got out of the car and took out a picnic basket from trunk. He leads me over to a rowboat and I realized that we were going for a picnic on the canal. "Tom, this is an amazing idea," I praises him while he helps me into the boat. "Well, I can't take all the credit for the date. Zendaya helped me with the idea and my mum helped me cook the food," he says sheepishly. "That's okay. It's still really sweet. Best first date I am ever going to have," I assure him. He starts rowing the boat and we start moving "Really? What would you say is the worst?" "John Taylor. I was in tenth grade and let me just say that that date made me stop dating for the whole of my tenth grade. He took me to this hot dog hut and it was really sketchy. We ate on a bench in an ugly park and these little kids were throwing stuff at me, all he did was laugh. After he made some disgusting remarks about me, gross horny teen, I stormed off. You want to know what happened to me during the week after. I got food poisoning from the hot dog," I confide to him. "No way that does sound like a pretty bad date" he laughs.

We start eating and I was so happy to find out that Tom made all my favourite food for me. I smile as we ate and told stories to each other. "There is no way that you did that, you are such a liar," Tom laughs as he takes a bit from his food. "Don't call me a liar. Everyone has probably lied, so everyone is a liar," I reason while also giggling. I took the oar and splashed Tom with some water. We both laughed until my phone started ringing, so I excuse myself and answer it. "Hey, I know you are on a date, but I need to head into work. There is a problem and they need me. I am so sorry," Kat apologizes. "Hey, Kat it's okay. I'll be there as soon as I can," I guarantee her. I hung up and look at Tom, "I'm sorry, but we need to head back to my place. Kat needs to head to work, there is an emergency. To make it up to you, maybe we could watch a movie at my place." "Yeah, that sounds like a great way to end a date actually," Tom tells me.

We got back to my apartment and Kat left my flat; Tom had fun making a fort with August for us to watch some movies in. I pop the popcorn and go to sit in between the two of them, "What are we watching first?" "Wall-E," Tom informs me. We watched a few more movies till late at night, but it got so late that we all fell asleep without realizing it with Toy Story 3 playing in the background.
