Tom and I have gone a few more dates over the past three weeks, and I think it's safe to say that they were falling pretty hard for each other in the short amount of time they have been dating. Tonight we were going to have a movie night at Tom's place, and dare I say that August is more excited for this than I was. "August, are you ready to go?" I ask him as I head into the living room. He comes running down the hall with his Spidey onesie on and stuffy in his hand, "Let's go, mommy!" He puts on his shoes and gets his Spider-Man backpack because we were going to spend the night at Tom's place. "Hold on sweetie, I know you are excited for our sleep over, but mommy is the one that has to drive you there. If mommy is not ready, then you can't get there," I try to calm him down whilst putting my shoes on. "Okay," he says with a little disappointment. "Okay, now we can go baby," I approve, so he opens the door and heads to the elevator.

"Go ahead, knock," I assure August. He knocks on the door with enthusiasms and Tom opens it with a big smile on his face in his matching Spider-Man onesie. "You are such a dork," I laugh as I give Tom a kiss on his lips. "Your son is wearing the same him, but you don't call him a dork," Tom complains as he puts his lips on mine again. I pull apart and look at him, "That's because he is my son and a toddler. You, however, are a grown man." Tom laughs and leads us inside of his flat, "I ordered pizza, just how you guys like it. It should be here in 20 minutes." I nod my head and head over to the fort that Tom made for us. I sit down and Tom sits beside me whilst putting his arm around my shoulder, then August sat on Tom's lap. "What are we watching, daddy?" August asks without paying any attention as to what he was saying. "Well, we are watching the Iron Mans, then the Captain Americas and finally your mommy's personal favourite Spider-Man: Homecoming. You think you can stay up for all that?" Tom teases. "Of course, I can. I am a big boy," August declares proudly. Tom and I smile down at August; Tom picks up the remote and then started the movie. There was a knock at the door and Tom goes to get the pizza; he really did know our favourite pizza. That's what made me fall in love with him; he cared about my son and me, and is protective over us. He took time for our needs and knew exactly what we liked.

"Daddy, I need to go to the bathroom," August informs Tom. Tom helps August off of his lap and pauses the movie, "Okay, do you want me to come with you?" "No, I'm a big boy," August tells us as he runs to the bathroom. I cuddle into Tom's chest and smile up at him, "Have you noticed that he is calling you Daddy more often ever since we started dating?" "Yeah, about that, I was meaning to ask you something," Tom starts, "Since he has been calling me that it made me realize that I really do want that. I want to be a good example for August and be in his life. I don't know if this is too early, but I am ready to take the next step and ask you to be my girlfriend." Before I could answer I hear a squeal coming from behind the wall that lead to the bathroom; Tom and I look at each other and laugh. "You know I don't think August really likes you, so maybe we should just stop dating. I think he's just being nice with the whole dad thing, and the other day he told me that he hates Spider-Man," I tease, I give Tom a face to tell him to play along. Getting what was going on, Tom started playing along, "No, I get it. I guess the reason why I can't have a relationship with you is because August doesn't like me." Before anything else could come into play, August comes running into the room with a worried look on his face. "No, no, no. I love Spider-Man; he's my favourite superhero. You have to be with my mommy; she says that you are the best thing that happened to her. I know you love my mommy. Please, don't leave us," August begs as tears start streaming down his cheeks.

Felling like a horrible mother for playing with my son's emotions, I was quick to give him a hug and bring him into my lap. "No, baby, mommy was joking. Of course, Tommy is not going to leave us." Tom hugs August with me and buds in, "I would never leave you guys, buddy. I l-love your mommy. I want to be here for you. That's why I asked her to be my girlfriend." I look up at Tom; did he just say what I though he just said. My heart swells with love, "You l-love me. Well I love you too, and of course I'll be your girlfriend as long as you'll be my boyfriend." Not believing his ears Tom looks at her and smiles the biggest smile I have ever seen. "Of course, I would to be your boyfriend." August finally realizes what was going on, wipes his tears away and gives us both a big smile. "Yay! Mommy and Daddy are finally together forever. Auntie Maggie said that once mommy gets a piece of that fine cake that mommy will finally be pleased. All I want is for mommy to be happy," August screams as he jumps around. I feel heat rush to my cheeks knowing full well what my sister meant; how could she talk like that around her nephew?

----------------------------------------------------------------

After the heartwarming moment between the little family, they continued to eat dinner and movie night resumed. August got so excited when Tom showed up on screen during Captain America: Civil War; he kept saying that that was his daddy. However, towards the end of the movie August and I could not keep our eyes open and we fell asleep. Tom was still awake and didn't want us to sleep on the floor for the rest of the night, so he first took August to his bed first. I could hear his first steps coming back quietly, I feel someone pick me up bridal style and then after a little while I felt a soft material against my back. I was on a bed, but that was not what I was focusing on because what I heard next made my heart swell again. I felt the bed dip from the other side and an arm was put under my head. I was brought closer to Tom, but there was something between us and I assume it was August. "I promise that I will never leave both of you. I love you both so much and will do anything to protect the both of you. I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with the both of you without a doubt. You have me wrapped around your fingers," Tom whispers to us. I feel lips press lightly against my forehead and then my nose; I couldn't keep back a smile. I just keep falling harder and harder for this man.
