I'm woken up by the sound of cries. I look at my phone's clock and it reads 6:30am. Too early for Leah to be awake. She usually wakes up at 8:00am. I close my eyes and realization dawns on me.
Louis meeting Leah and finding about her was just a dream. Nothing was real. It felt so real. I breath out a sigh of relief.
I get out of bed and walk to the kitchen, putting some water on a kettle. Leah's cries still present. I put the kettle on the stove and let it warm. I walk over to Leah's room and she is standing on her crib looking at the door. Her chubby cheeks stained with tears.
"Hey princess," I say in a baby voice. I walk over to her, picking her up. She stops crying immediately. "It's way to early for you to wake up," I whisper, kissing her cheek. She snuggles into the crook of my neck and I hug her tighter. I hear the kettle go off.
I walk back to the kitchen and take the kettle off the stove. I open the cupboard and take one mug, settling it on the counter. I pour some water into the mug and turn around to the cupboard and take my English Breakfast Tea box and take one bag out of it. I put the bag in the steaming water and let it dissolved. I put Leah into her baby chair and turn around to get her some breakfast.
I take the Cheerios out and put some in a bowl and give it to Leah. She digs her tiny hands in the bowl and starts eating. I walk back to where my mug was and take the tea bag out and throw it in the trash can. I walk to fridge and get the cream and sugar out and walk back to my mug. I pour some in my tea and mix it. I take a sip and sit on the chair next to Leah.
I finish my tea and walk to the sink. I wash the mug and turn to the fridge and I get some orange juice and put it in her butterfly bottle. I walk over to her and see that she finished all the cheerios I gave her. I take the bowl and give her the bottle. She puts it quickly on her mouth.
While I'm washing the bowl, my phone starts to ring, and pick up without looking at the caller ID.
"Hello?" I look at the clock on the microwave and it's already 7:30am.
"Hey, Cece," I hear the voice of my best friend, Lou, on the other side of the line.
"Hey, Lou. Isn't a early for you to call?" I ask her. I hear her laugh.
"Yeah, it is. But hey, I'm in Doncaster and I was hoping to see little Leah and have a play date with Lux. What do you say?" she asks me.
"What are you doing in Doncaster?" I ask her.
"The boys are doing a charity concert here. Oh, and Liam says hi," she replies and I smile.
"Tell him I say hi back," I say. I hear her say the exact same thing I said, to Liam, I suppose.
"So what do you say? When I can see Leah?" she asks.
"Well, today is my day off. You can come today," I reply, hesitantly. She squeaks.
"Great. I'll see you in a couple of hours," she says and hangs up. I drop the phone on the counter and turn to Leah.
"Looks like we are having company in a few hours," I say to Leah. I walk over to her and get her out of the baby chair. I walk to the living room and turn the TV on and set Leah on the floor to watch Spongebob.
I walk around cleaning and putting everything in order. By the time I finish its 9:35am. Leah is still in front of the TV watching another show. I walked over to her and sit next to her. I start brushing her still messy bed hair. Giving up, I decide to give her a bath.
I walk over to the bathroom in my room and start the tub. I level the water temperature and place her on the tub. I wash her quickly, and dress her in a cute sundress and some ballerina flats. I let her hair dry naturally and I place her in her Play Yard in the living room in front of the TV.
