Author’s Notes: Alrighty, folks. Prepare yourselves. This is the chapter that started this whole shebang. The first true image I had of the story began here. The rest was developed over weeks of thought and planning and pure evilness (and some-parts fluffiness). I hope you enjoy, cringe, cry, laugh, shout, threaten your poor phone/computer for delivering these words to you, and all around love what you read here. Any questions? You know where the review button is! Or the PM button…message…thingy… er…yeah… Enjoy!

p.s. Some of the original plot lines remain. Slughorn is potion’s teacher, Severus is Defense, and Dumbledore introduces Harry to Horcruxes, which is then revealed to Ron, Hermione, and Draco. Harry’s obsession with Draco stems from an…entirely different reason this time. If you catch my drift. *nudge, nudge*

Chapter VII: A little bit of a bad [girl] Part 2

“You are playing a dangerous game, Talianna.”

“I know this.”

“Then explain.”

“For once, Severus, sit back and let it play out before you. Watch and you may learn.” Her tone colours with humor. The tall, dark professor scowls and stands to his full height to add superiority to his statement.

“As a spy, that is basically all I do. Talianna, what do you hope to achieve by this tactic? Tell me, now.”

“If you will not glamour me so I may participate than I shall go to Blaise instead.” Her hand does not have the chance to reach the door handle before his voice begins the enchantment. Her eyes close as she faces him once more, feeling his magic, a soft blue mixed with black, creep over her skin, latching onto her pores and hardening into the appropriate shield. When she opened her brown eyes again, a mirror floats before her.

“Blue eyes?” She questions. Severus shrugs crossly.

“You must remain inconspicuous. You are a typical German girl, with blonde hair and blue eyes and a delicate form. I would hardly give you a second glance on the street.”

“Thanks for the compliment.” Tallie wrinkles her nose and shakes her head, watching her thin, short hair wisp in the air in the mirror. She had a pixie cut, with thin lips. A pretty pink colour, slightly plump. Her curves were lost, making her robes drape around her. Her wand tip brushes the lining and crest and tie of her clothes, changing them to a Hufflepuff brown and the appropriate crest and tie colours. Her robes simultaneously tightened to fit her.

“If you wish to participate, be down in Hogsmeade within the hour. Be sure to tell Dumbledore in the next twenty minutes. The D.A. must not be made aware in time. See you, Sev.”

“Tallie—” The door swung shut before he could finish, leaving Severus to wonder just exactly when his pupil became his equal.

Twenty minutes later, in the Headmaster’s office, Severus held his occlumens walls tight around his mind as he tells Albus of the impending attack.

“How did you hear of this, Severus?”

“A message,” At this, Severus made sure to brush over his mark as if an unconscious action, “from the Dark Lord. We have maybe ten minutes until they strike.”

“How many?”

“Twenty, Albus.”

“Their intent?”

“Intimidation? Maybe they are seeking another high-ranking shop owner to further frighten our society? Maybe, as Potter and his friends are down there, they hope to capture a few of them? The Dark Lord’s intentions do not often make sense until they are all played out.” Albus nods in agreement, his eyes still slightly suspicious.
