"It was amazing Ban" I say truthfully. "He gave me a single white rose and he rented a fucking limo!"
"What?" Bandit squeals "Like a black limo? Omg girl you are so lucky!" I start to smile but it quickly fades as I hear from the other room "Mom I'm sorry! Please!! Don't-" SLAP!! I hear a scream and I hang up without saying goodbye and run to my sister's room.
She's laying on the floor with her hand covering her cheek and tears cascading down her face. My mom grabs her and lifts her by the neck. "You deserve this you ungrateful brat." She pulls back her fist and before she gets a chance to hit her again I push her and hand my sister my phone. "Run to Ban and call the cops. Don't wait for me. I love you." I push her out the door and lock it. I hear her screaming after me but I can't let it phase me.
"What are you doing you slut? Do you really think they'll believe either of you? All you do is lie and steal!" She swings at me but I duck. She looks shocked and reals back her hand but I punch her in the nose and run.
As I reach the front door I hear the sirens and my mother yelling "You fucking bitch! Get your ass back here!." I run into the middle of the road to wave down the cops. Just as I see them my mother grabs me and pulls me back inside. I scream hoping they hear me. I kick and punch and yell as the cops reach the house.
They arest my mother and I convince them to give me a month to get a job and my GED to prove I can take care of me and my sister. After they agree and leave I head to the Ways place and go straight to Bandits room. As soon as I hit the bed I pass out.
I wake and see my sister fast asleep cuddled up to me. I manage to free myself and go to Gee's room. I knock and when I hear "come in!" I walk in and explain everything.
"So can I please start taking the GED tests durring my free periods? And if possible can savannah stay here for a bit?" Gee agrees. "Be careful kid. You know we're always here for you. Just give us a ring. We love you." "I love you guys too. Tell my sister to call me as soon as she wakes up please." He nods and I head out the door.
