Sorry I wasn't clear on the time zone. It was supposed to be the time zone in America. But here's the update, two hours earlier than what I promised.
The walk wasn't particularly long nor short.
For Taehyung, it's was always exciting to go to new places. Especially when one didn't have to worry about the expenses.
Seoljin was whistling a particular tune his mother used to hum whenever it was his bedtime during his younger years.
Jungkook is just happy to be in Taehyung's presence, but also thinking of ways he can impress the older boy.
When they finally reach the small town, Seokjin grabs onto Taehyung by the shirt to stop the boy from running right then and there.
The 'small' town wasn't small at all. It seemed big, but he guesses villagers like himself and Taehyung wouldn't really know.
There's a wide variety of shops and all sorts of buildings for many purposes. There are many people that walk or run along to their businesses as a sweet, heavenly scent fills the air.
"Wanna grab a bite at Drury Lane?" Suggest Jungkook after seeing the two older boys sniffing the air, as if trying to comprehend where the delicious scent was coming from like bloodhounds.
"Oh my god. Is it really called Drury Lane?" Laughs Taehyung.
"It's a great name Tae! Sort of suits a bakery," Seokjin agrees.
Jungkook just stood there with a mild confusion on his face. "I don't get it?"
"There's this nursery rhythm us commoners learned when we were kids. 'Do you know the muffin? The muffin man? The muffin man! Do you know the muffin, who lives on Drury Lane?' I don't really know what it means but it's just an ironic name I guess."
Jungkook still has a confused look on his face but they wave it off as he leads them to where the likeable scent came from.
Drury Lane was a smallish bakery and cafe that was one of the tourist spots in the town. Many people came in and out, the bakery quite full of people.
So when they came in, anyone who bothered to look up continued their gazes on them as they passed the countless tables and chairs and sofas.
"Hey Kook," says Taehyung while examining the menu's options. "What's good here?"
"Everything your not allergic to."
Taehyung hums as he and Jin both look over the variety of options. In the end, they settled for food they were most familiar with back at home.
"I would like 2 frappès with blueberry scones," Taehyung orders.
"And a baked ham and cheese sandwich," added Jin.
"I'll have what a frappè as well," Jungkook finalized.
The boy behind the counter that kept flickering his eyes at both Taehyung and Jin grated on his nerves. Yet he also felt a triumph in his veins knowing that the counter boy would never have a chance with his Taehyung.
His Taehyung that wasn't his. And he frowns again.
There aren't anymore tables available in Drury Lane, and Taehyung walks to a big clean table full of a group of men and women that were now blushing, since they'd been caught staring.
"Leave!" Taehyung hisses at them. And immediately, they stumble out of their seats and make their way to the doors.
"Thanks," Taehyung calls out in a happy voice, completely different from the tone he used earlier.
Jungkook wonders what the older boy said in a hushed voice that made the mere humans scramble out so fast. Jin only smirks.
Both are too busy balancing the food in their hands to notice a dark smoke leave Taehyung's right eye. It disappears in a moment.
They sit down and eat for a while, enjoying one anothers company.
Jungkook now has a slightly more respectable opinion of Seokjin, who insists the younger boy to call him Jin.
Jin proposes a getting-to-know-you-better game; never have I ever.
They only put up five fingers.
Jungkook starts, "Never have I ever stayed up until 3."
Jin puts a finger down. "Wow. You're still a baby huh?" Taehyung put one down as well.
Jungkook huffs. "I just get things done fast alright?"
"Whatever kid."
"Never have I ever owned a car," Taehyung says.
Both Jin and Jungkook put a finger down sheepishly.
"Never have I ever...." Jin takes a moment to think about what he hasn't done. "....lost a fight."
Taehyung frowns and puts a finger down while Jungkook is practically glowing with smugness.
"Never have I ever killed someone."
Both Jin and Taehyung put their fingers down as Jungkook's eyes widen.
"Oh, really? That's-"
They both quickly put a finger back up laughing. "We were just messing with you. Of course we've never killed."
Jungkook feels a bit stupid. But the game goes on.
Taehyung rubs his chin comically in thought. "Hmmm.....never have I ever....been on an airplane."
"It's not much of an experience," Jungkook says, putting a finger down.
So far, everyone has three fingers left, making them a bit more daring with exposing secrets.
"Never have I ever made someone cry on purpose."
Jungkook puts one down, immediately regretting it until he sees Taehyung hesitantly put his finger down as well. The younger boy wonders how it happened.
"Never have I ever got drunk," Jungkook proudly states.
Both older boys give him a withered look as they put a finger down.
"Wow. I can't believe I'm gonna be the one to lose," grumbles Taehyung at his last finger standing. "Anyways, never have I ever broken a bone."
"It's hurts like hell," Jin states as he puts a finger down.
"Never have I ever....kissed a frog."
Taehyung groans loudly as his last finger moves down, his hand now a fist.
"I was only 7 at the time. I regret ever telling you now."
Jungkook is grinning a shit-eating grin Taehyung only ever wants to see on himself.
"Shut up Kook. I don't like this game. This game is stuuupid."
They've finished their food by now, and are ready to leave to finally see the stores. There aren't many, perhaps about 13 in total. But Jin would take what he'd get.
As they walk into the first store (a clothing store that went by the name of The Fashion Less Worn), there is a murder in Ajes High taking place.
