Namjoon

He was always a good student back at home, and an even better one at school just to show off. His skills in mathematics, language arts, and world languages were that beyond a normal human, even a better one.

His mother and father were not the strict harsh parents his peers assume them to be. In fact, they were pretty supportive of anything he did, no matter the cost or circumstance.

Many people call him an overachiever. He prefers the term genius better. Every subject was quite easy for him, but no one really wanted to believe that he could learn anything without studying as hard as his fellow peers. That was, until his own letter for Ajes arrived one evening.

He was very proud if it. Smug perhaps. And now, he had a chance to start all over.

He supposes he could be social. He was definitely not stunted socially in any way. But his arrogant demeanour during his younger years caused a bad effect, and his reputation crumbled. It was quite lonely, being a genius yet having no one to talk to. He likes to think that he could live without human contact, but that would be a lie.

For he was but a human, and he needed physical contact, and affection too. Even if he couldn't get a lover, a friend would do just as fine. He didn't need many. Just one would do, though he aims for 5 at the least. And the new transfer fulfils his wish.

No one he knew went to the school, as far as he can tell.

The white stone glows as he touched every single one of them just in case. He is placed into the Cladiche district he sits next to his Cladiche peers.

They chatted with him as the other students went through the stones.

Then it was silent except for a few excited whispers.

He looked down and there he was. A boy. Possibly the most attractive boy he's ever seen, but a boy nonetheless.

He didn't think much about it after the whole sorting session was over. He had his own problems to worry about. Like how he was tripped by a younger student wearing bright red. The childish imbeciles sporting the same uniform colour laughed alongside him as Jungwon from his own district helped him up.

He learned as the day passed, that there were many cliches among the school, and he was appointed to his own, which was with his people. It was expected, though mixing of the districts wasn't unheard of as well.

He saw the beautiful boy again in his Language Arts class.

Taehyung had stared at the instructing teacher that stated her rules and principals when she mentioned cursive. Taehyung, then cursed and Namjoon surpressed a laugh, bringing out a smile instead.

Offering his skills to help the other boy surprised him, yet did not. He knew of the Erosian powers that Taehyung possessed. Yet he never helped any stranger willingly. So he conflicted with both his emotions, but settled on what he initiated when Taehyung smiles brightly at him, accepting the offer.

Taehyung was not a bad company to be around, he realized as they got into deep discussions about the smallest things like cotton balls to global warming. The boy made it easy for him to be around, and he appreciated it. It would be nice to have an actual...friend around. Besides, Taehyung was like a happy puppy that held onto every word that came out of his mouth in awe. It did wonders for his pride, since he was so used to contempt and jealousy. Admiration was a nice change.

When they departed, Namjoon was quite sad to see Taehyung go. But the boy promised to visit his district sometime.

And he had this class with Taehyung. So it wasn't as if they were separated, forever doomed to only meet once.
