Summary : Jungkook finds one difference before and now. He feels no obligation as he did before.

The door to Taehyung and Jin's room was slammed open, immediately waking both boys up with a sharpness neither had looked forward to.
Jungkook, still in his night clothes, glared down both of them wordlessly. Jin was still rubbing his eyes whike Taehyung took the glare as a challenge stared back at Jungkook, the two in a deep staring contest match.
"What the fuck Jungkook." Jin's voice was still groggy from the sudden human alarm clock. "Why are you here?"
Jungkook ignored Jin easily, his glare still on Taehyung, concentrating, looking for a hole, a difference between yesterday and now. As he had made his way inside the Erosian dorm, he did not feel the small glimpses of worship or attraction as he did in the past. Now as he passed them all, they were still striking, but in the end, they were only human to him.
So it was a first sign of the spell working. Until now.
Jungkook moves closer to Taehyung, yet the beat his heart does is as clear as glass for him. It was impossible, he'd done the simple spell correctly, following out the short instructions with extreme caution and care. But no. Maybe it made sense. Maybe it was because Taehyung was a rank 10. It had to be. Maybe he was too strong for the spell. Maybe...
His legs moved on their own and before he knew it, he got on Taehyung's bed and then on the older boy, thighs pressing tightly against Taehyung's thin arms so the boy couldn't move.
"Jungkook, what's going on?" Taehyung asks, forcing a calm tone, but Jungkook can now find the scared shake in Taehyung's voice, as if a black drape has been taken off his senses. The older boy's arms shuffle a bit, testing Jungkook's thigh strength, trying to find a way out.
Jin only looked at the both of them with just as much confusion Taehyung held.
"Jungkook," Taehyung starts again, but this time, his normal brown eyes turn a shade of pale amber. "Get off me."
A few questions ran through his head.
Did his eyes always do that? Why had he only seen it now but not before?
Jungkook only stays on top of Taehyung, continuing to stare at the boys eyes that flashed the same pale amber from time to time as Taehyung who had been a forced calm earlier was now an angry frightened mess under his body weight.
When he saw Jin's body move towards, he finally stops the experiment. He got the information he wanted. There was no need to make Taehyung more frightened.
Giving the older a boy a sudden dazzling smile, he climbef off. "Sorry. I was just..feeling weird today. Just pretend it never happened."
And with that, he made his way towards the door. "See you in first period."
And then he left.

Jin peers out their window and sees the younger has made his way out their building.
"He's out."
Taehyung springs to his feet. "Jin, we've got to ditch him."
Jin says nothing until it finally clicks. "What? Why? Even if he's a bit fucked in the head, he's still a pretty important chess piece. Probably the most important piece you have on your board right now."
Taehyung looks at him like he's said something stupid.
"Didn't you see?" He hisses. "He didn't listen to me."
"But he did-"
"No no no. You're not getting it. I used my voice a bit the first time, but then he stayed put on me so I used it more and more. I've gotten to the maximum level and he still hadn't move immediately. Do you understand Jin? I think he....I don't think my powers work on him anymore."
"But that's impossible!" Jin says with shock. "They were normal yesterday. What makes today any different?"
"I don't fucking know! I wouldn't be so freaked out if I did."
"Fine, yes. Drop him. But do our powers still work? I don't feel any different." Jin cups his own face and pats around his body.
Taehyung starts changing into his uniform. "I don't either. Maybe it's not us. Maybe he got stronger...or evolved!"
"He's not a Pokemon. I don't know."
"We can find out later," Taehyung says. "For now, we stay cool. Do what he says, act like nothing happened."
**
Jungkook is confused. He isn't quite sure how to feel, given the outcome of the spell. On one hand, it worked like it said it would. He would no longer be controlled by even the most power Erosians.
On the other hand, he fully expected to react differently to Taehyung. Expecting anger, or perhaps even a mild dislike or irritation at being hooked around the boys finger for a long while. But instead, he got the opposite reaction.
Or rather, no reaction at all. His heart still bumped for the older boy, powers or not. He came prepared physically to rip the boy's head off, but one look at Taehyung and he felt complete again. The boy still looked as beautiful as ever. Still the same smooth deep voice, the same pretty hands, the same lithe body. And he couldn't get enough.
He had thought the older boy was too powerful for the spell to work, but he had to test the theory out before making his final conclusion.
Taehyung's words had no affect on him that morning. Which felt strange, yet so fullfilling that he was his own person from yesterday forward.
With a satisfied whistle, he continued his daily routine, having rushed out of bed the morning in excitement.
Things might be different now.
