❤️John's POV❤️

"I think someone's at the front door." Maria said, pointing out of the room we were currently in.

Maria, Peggy, Laf, and I had all gathered in my room to play Game of Life. It was something we did everyday.

"I'll go get it!" Peggy said excitedly, walking out of the room.

Laf spins the spinner-thing and gets an 8. "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8- So I passed 1 payday and landed on Action." He exclaims and picks up a card.

"John do you want something to drink?" Laf asks with a snicker.

"I'm not falling for that!" I say, also snickering. (A/N: there's a card in the version of game of life that says "ask everyone if they want something to drink. If they do, they have to pay you in game of life money)

He asked Maria, too, when Peggy came running back.

"Guys! We have a new visitor!" She says, obviously out of breath.

"We can finish our game later." Maria says.

"Oui." Laf says, getting up off the floor and walking towards Peggy.

We walked past the empty rooms that either belonged to no one or the only other people in this 'facility'. Laf, Peggy, Maria, Veronica (a/n: Ha bitch heathers is gonna be here too), and Herc.

"Hi kids!" Says Mrs. Washington.

Poor new kid, he probably just thought Mrs. Washington was a creepy old lady with shoulder-length gray hair who was taking him away from who he loves.

"We have a new visitor." She says with a smile.

Hercules heard this and came running from the cafeteria where he was sewing a new beanie.

"Mrs. Washington, Why do you call them a 'visitor' when all the people we've ever gotten have just stayed here?" Maria asked.

"She's right." Herc says, out of breath because he just RAN over to where we are.

"Wait here, children. I need to make sure Alex didn't climb over the gate." Mrs. Washington says, about to walk outside, but then deciding not to because this 'Alex' walked right inside.

"What, you were afraid I was going to climb the fence? And you're probably going to take my phone now too, aren't you?" Alex says, deeply annoyed.

"No, you can keep your phone. We don't take phones here, right kids?" Mrs. Washington asks.

"Nope!" Peggy says cheerfully.

Veronica walks upstairs from the basement and notices we're all grouped together having a conversation.

"Did I fucking miss game-night!?" She exclaims.

"Yeah. Sorry, mon ami." Laf says.

"Veronica, watch your language!" Mrs. Washington says.

"Whatever. You curse all the time." Veronica says, not wanting to fight.

"John, would you show Alex his room?" Mrs. Washington asks.

"Um, sure." I say. "Do you want me to carry any of that?" I ask Alex, who was defeatedly holding a ton of luggage.

"Uh, Yeah, this one." He says, handing me a bag.

"This way." I say, pointing ahead and then walking that way. Alex followed close behind.

He eventually caught up.

"I'm really sorry you got put here, but it's not that bad." I say, looking toward the ground.

"I know." He says.

"Do you know which room you're gonna be in?" I ask.

"Room 7." He says. I stop.

That's my room. Yes, I have a bunk bed, and yes, Mrs. Washington tells us all the time that eventually we'll get a roommate, but I didn't know that would be today!

"I wasn't ready for you. Whoops." I say.

"What do you mean?"

"That's my room number." I gulp.
