Lýsi

This chapter is very important to read. If you choose to skip over it then it would be your fault if you don't understand anything later on. ~Authors

Lýsi broke-out 2 and a half years ago. No one knew where it came from, how it would spread and how to stop it. Lýsi  was a parasite, a parasite/virus that would take a hold of one's mind. Scientist could not distinguish which one it portrayed the most. It would lock it self unto any living things' brain and begin to control them. Slowly that living thing that it had taken host of would lose their minds, their senses.

It spread like a wildfire among the country's citizens. By the end of the first 6 months of it, at least a 20th of the country's citizens were infected. There was no stopping it. The Government wasn't much help either. In fact, at the end of the first year of Lýsi, they suddenly disappear. The country was already thrown in chaos when Lýsi came along but when the Government just suddenly up and disappeared, the chaos escalated majorly.

It was like watching a horror movie in slow motion. People killed each other for the mere purpose of obtaining food and water. Starvation was ,of course spreading as fast as Lýsi. Family and friends were dying, either from starvation, murder or Lýsi.

 Lýsi would kill the living being after a while. But only after a long painful process it seems. People that had been infected were cut off from the rest of the society. It was still unknown as to how it would spread, so everyone was taking their precautions and keeping their distance. And its not like anyone could hide the fact that they had Lýsi. Large purple blisters erupting from their pores, their eyes bloodshot, their skin pale as death and their walking unbalanced. Yea not exactly camouflage-able.

Well that's the most common form of Lýsi inside of citizens. Some citizens have even been mutated to look something like animals.

There was no hope left when after the Government left. Where had all the high-ranking entrepreneurs, scientist and politicians disappeared to? Well the answer may have been in a radio report a month after they disappeared.

"A safe haven! I repeat, A safe haven located in the Central! You have to use the Gateway and Bridges! A safe-" the report was suddenly cut off. But from that day on people would try to reach the Safe Haven. If they did, we never knew.

It was horrible watching a modern day city go to the ruins. Even though it was very strange that building were crumbling so fast in 2 years.

Those who thought they could possibly escape from Lýsi, hide themselves from society. In basements, attics and other likely places. Too bad it didn't work.

So here we are 2 and a half years later. The street are cracking, buildings somehow crumbling and not one sign of life to be seen. Well except for Crawlers roaming around the place. Crawlers was the name given to those infected with Lýsi. And the virus/parasite still infects living beings day and day out.
