WARNING thus chapter has mentions of self harm, depression, and bullying.
Once again, Izuku got out of bed after another no of tossing and turning. He continued his morning routine and stumbled into the bathroom. As he look in the mirror once again, he looked worse then the day before. As he washed his face, he stared down at his wrists, examining the number of cuts and scars.
Along with no sleep, Izuku has been suffering severe depression for a while now, but no one has noticed his fake smiles and laughs. He scowls at himself and finishes getting dressed.
He goes downstairs and noticed a puff of green hair on the couch. He chuckles silently, convering his worn out mother with a blanket. He makes them both breakfast and left her food on the table, leaving the house silently as he made his way to U.A.
As the depressed and exhausted boy walked into class, everyone noticed the horrible shape he was in. The first one to speak is his childhood "friend", Katsuki Bakugo, or Kacchan to Izuku.
"Why the fuck do you look like that stupid Deku?" sneered the hothead.
"A-ah! S-sorry K-kacchan, I couldn't s-sleep last night..." Izuku trails off. This angered Kacchan. "How about you learn to take care of yourself you dumbass piece of shit! All you want is for people to actually pay attention to you. How about you quit being an attention whore take a swan dive off of the roof. Maybe you'll make the newspaper cover! You should have listened to me the first time j told you to do it." He growled at the green headed boy.
As the class stared at Kacchan in shock and disgust, Uraraka confronted him with her cheeked red with anger."What did Deku do to you!? Instead of being a jerk, how about you try to help him with his problems and not make them worse!" She said as 1-A agreed.
" Yeah, if it is such a concern to you Bakugo, why don't you actually do something, huh?" Sero crossed his arms as he raised an eyebrow at the blond.
" You know that you could be expelled for this? The entire class could testify against whatever you say and you could be out of here within a second. I am correct, aren't I?" Yaoyorozu placed her hands on her hips as the rest of the class began to retaliate against Bakugo.
Before Kacchan could counter, Izuku spoke up. " You know what Kacchan, I was hoping to have a better day today, but you had to ruin it...you don't give a damn about me, but you work so hard to make me miserable..." Izuku mumbles, shock spreading across the faces of his classmates, including Kacchan's. Izuku never curses, even if he's upset or angry.
But this is different.
"And what makes it worse...is that no one notices the change in my actions. No one noticed that I became depressed. Even after I got a quirk you still put me down, to the point to where I have to relief myself with pain. But you don't care. You know what Kacchan? I WILL do a swan dive off the roof. I'll make your fantasies come true." Izuku suddenly ran out of the classroom. He twisted through the halls as the made his way to the door leading to the rooftop, passing Aizawa.
Before he can react, all of 1-A ran after him, as if Izuku's life depended on it. Because it did. Aizawa managed to stop Mina, and after a breathy, desperate explanation, Aizawa ran to catch up with the rest of the class and Izuku with Mina at his heels.
Everyone left, but Bakugo, as he stood with his head held down, a grimace marking his face. Whatever, Deku shouldn't have been such a weakling. He can do what he wants, why should I care if his dumbass dies because of his own stupidity? Bakugo thought as he caught up.
As the class arrived, they were greeted by the sight of their Deku, swaying back and forth on the railing, not looking back. Each swing of his legs threatened to make Izuku fall off of the roof. Aizawa pushed his way to the front of the crowd. He slowly approached the teen with caution, not wanting to startle him into accidentally falling.
"Midoriya, please come down. You have so much to live for. You don't have to do this. This isn't the way to fix things. This isn't an option. What about your mother? She wouldn't be able to replace you with anything in the entire world. This class wouldn't be the same without you. What about being a hero?" Asked Aizawa calmly.
That word.
HERO.
All the people who claimed to be heroes are the ones who hurt him to the most.
All Might.
Telling him he couldn't be a hero before obtaining his quirk.
His father.
The one who he thought could understand him, until he abandoned him and his mother, breaking her heart...
Kacchan.
Who he always looked up to, only to be the one to push him to do this, after years and bullying and suffering, even with a quirk...
Useless
Stupid
Worthless
...
A Deku...
As these thoughts ran through his head, Izuku began to cry. "Having so much to *hic* live for? I take up space. I'm a parasite. I shouldn't be alive. My mother wouldn't have to worry about me anymore. Even All Might told me I couldn't be a hero before I got my quirk. I make others miserable. Kacchan was right. The world would be better of without me... no one cares about me. It would be better..." He says, now sobbing, while getting closer to the edge. No one knew what to do.
Except for Uraraka.
"Deku-...Izuku... please... I care about you. We care about you. Without you, class 1-A wouldn't be complete. You are a hero. You are our light in the darkness," she stated as she walked closer to the shorter male. "So please come back to us... after all, Deku means someone who can do anything." She says, hugging his back, as he begins to cry harder.
Sooner or later, people below noticed and called the police. Ochaco Uraraka was deemed a hero for successfully saving her classmate. Everyone, but Bakugo, refused to leave the short, broken boy alone until his mother arrived.
She was hysterical.
She blamed herself for not noticing, as Izuku turned down her thoughts has the Midoriyas hugged and cried. U.A. shut down for the day and Izuku returned home with his mother.
She had work, and didn't want to leave him alone, afraid that he might harm himself, but he pushed her to leave, reassuring her. He lay in bed, thinking about the events that went on today during class. How Uraraka tried to help him and saved his life. And...Kacchan...who didn't even try to stop him.
As he muttered to himself, he began drifting into a relaxed slumber, until something sharp stabbed into his pale, white neck. All he could recall before everything turned black was a girl in a school uniform, crazed eyes and messy blond buns standing before him.
I found you...Izu~kun~~~♥♥♥
