Chapter 8

I've always hated making big decisions. Where to go work, where to live, where to shop, etc. I'm never good at deciding what is best. I always overthink things just like Kane said. It feels like he knows everything about me. And now he's put me into making decision that could change my life. I do believe him that he's a vampire but what I don't believe is that I am a vampire too and that's e are soul mates. It just sounds really silly to me if you ask me. Who's ever heard of a "special kind" of vampire? Who believes in soul mates? And even if they'd o exist, do they really experience these jolts that me and Kane had? Ugh, this is too much. But I guess it's worth a try. I'm already here and things could not get any worse than this.

I sighed heavily and gulped. "Alright, Kane, you get only one chance to prove yourself," I said and shook my finger to let him know how serious I am about this.

He smiled wide and unexpectedly grabbed me by the waist and spun me around. The sudden grab made me yelp.

He put me down and I stumbled a bit on my feet.

Kane looked as happy as ever. "You won't regret this I promise sweetheart."

"Don't grab me like that!" I yelled and smacked him on the face. The sudden impact made my hand ache.

His face did not move an inch.

He frowned. "Don't do that. You might be half a vampire, but you still don't have the strength of one."

"Figures," I scoffed.

"Now let me out." I slammed on the door.

He raked his fingers through his hair and grinned. "I'd love to just keep you here and see what you'd do. Just watch you.

"If you don't open this room right now then I will take something sharp and stab you in the heart!"

"Oh the old stake through the heart method. Classy." He clapped his hands. "I like it."

I raised an eyebrow.

"Okay, fine. I'll let you go and contemplate about this." He strolled over to the door and took the key out of his pant pocket.

I waited as patiently as I could. But truth be told, I was on the verge of totally going ballistic. I was going over the edge of insanity if he wouldn't open the door and I could get away from him.

As soon as the door was unlocked, I pushed past him and ran to the stairs.

"Hey shortcake, you got the information?" Aaron asked me. He was standing at the stairs with Abel. Seemed like they were waiting for something or someone. Could have even been for me.

"Yeah, vamp." I spat. I was too irritated. I couldn't talk properly at all.

"Woah. Easy tiger." Abel, put his hands up in defeat.

"I have no time for this. I don't feel like talking with anyone." I said as I made my way up the stairs.

"We are here if you need a shoulder to cry on." I heard Aaron tell me and Abel chuckled beside him.

I whipped my head towards them. Sending death glares their way.

"Okay okay. No shoulders. But if you need anything-". Aaron continued.
