She's everything he's not and he's everything she's not. That's why they fit together perfectly.

The carnival was lit everywhere now that it was dark. Every stall looked more inviting. Couples were seen everywhere, the male one winning prizes for the female. Rings were being thrown, darts were being shot, balloons were being splattered, and here she was, stuck in a crowd of uninterested and awkward friends.
Anna looked ahead and glared at the back of Elliott's head. He was easily laughing out with Nicole as Anna trailed behind. They had gone on the Mouth of Thunder but Elliott avoided sitting with her, saying that he would be really scared and didn't want Anna to see him like that. So, she ended up sitting with Harvey of all people somehow and her ear was partly deaf by his screaming.
Caleb cleared his throat from beside her, which caught her attention.
"Um", he started awkwardly. "Is there something else you wanted to do here?"
Anna stared curiously. Well, she wanted to ride all types of rides and end the night with ferris wheel, just like all the dates she had heard about. Guess that doesn't really happen, seeing that Elliott was having a nice time with Nicole more than her. Maybe he didn't think of this as a date. Maybe it was her way of talking that made him think that. In any case, she didn't have anything to do here anymore. Did Caleb question to remind her that? That if she didn't have anything to do, she could just leave?
"Yeah, you're right", she answered. "I also think I should leave."
"Also? No! I just- I meant that- you know, if you, um, have anything to do- well, just tell me and we can do it."
That certainly surprised Anna and she didn't answer for a while, which made Caleb think if he'd said anything wrong. "You know, since Elliott is busy talking and we kind of intruded on your date-"
"It isn't a date", Anna cut him off, smilling.
Caleb blinked, feeling lighter than before without any reason. "Oh", he said. "So, there's nothing you want to do?"
Anna had an internal debate before she looked at him from the corner of her eye.
"Well, there's one thing."

"What?!", Savannah exclaimed with surprise. "The amusement park? Since when did they go there?"
"I don't know. Nicole planned it all of a sudden today", Andrea's voice came through the phone. "Why aren't you coming though? Nicole had said she was going to message you."
"Hold on", she said and checked the messages with one hand while holding her robe with another. "Oh she had sent me a message. I just came out of shower so maybe that's why."
"She sent that two hours ago", Andrea stated.
"Yeah, that's what it says", Savannah replied.
"You were in the shower for two hours?!"
"Well yeah, the showering gel, shaving and all", Savannah answered nonchalantly. "Why? What do you do, just splash yourself with water?"
Andrea gave a defeated sigh through the phone. "Just come. Oh and BTW, Anna is here, too."
Savannah scrunched up her face in confusion. "Who's Anna?"
"The girl you've been keeping tabs on for the whole week", Andrea stated flatly.
