While walking to Calculus that boy that ran into me yesterday blocked my way. He said, "Hey gorgeous names Chance Mathews." "Uh, I'm not interested," I said. "But,"he said. "No," I said unrelentingly. I managed to weave around him and get around the corner. I then ran to class. I entered breathless and Mrs.Jackson noticed and since I was the first one in asked, "What's wrong?" "A (gasp) boy was (gasp) blocking me (gasp) from getting to class," I told her honestly seeing no reason to lie. "Here have some water and sit down. Nice shirt by the way, I have one like that," she said to me. After she did role a man with sea green eyes, windswept black hai- Is that Percy Jackson! It is! "Annabeth we have an issue ," he said panting . "What is it this time?" Mrs.Jackson asked. "Thalia showed up with her hunters and Jason left his class to see her,"he told her. "Okay, and who sent you?" She said. "Piper,"he said simply. My eyes widened and I paled. All he had said was just registering, I looked around and saw no others seemed surprised at this random intrusion. I raised my hand and asked what he was doing here and Mrs.Jackson looked surprised and asked, "You can see him?" "Of corse I can see him why wouldn't I be able to?"I said back. "I thought they were all mortals in this class," Mrs.Jackson muttered. What was she talking about? Was I a - No could I be a-a-a a demigod!? Mrs.Jackson said, "Selene you need to come with Percy and me." "But what about the rest of school?" I asked. "She's right," Percy said, "Plus I get to teach today!" "Dammit," Mrs.Jackson said quietly, " Selene what's your last class?" "Gym with Coach Hedge," I told her. "Okay then," she said. I could almost see her formulating a plan, then she turned to Percy and said, "Go tell Hedge to expect a demigod in his last period." Percy jokingly saluted and said, "Yes ma'am," then he kissed her and left. Mrs.Jackson went back to teaching but looked distracted. At the end of class I went up to her and asked, "Mrs.Jackson, what did the others see during your conversation with Mr.Jackson?" "Probably just me having a conversation with a teacher and that's why they weren't surprised when Percy came sprinting in," Mrs.Jackson said simply. Then she quietly said, "meet me after school by the giant oak tree." After I left the room I relied this was going to be a very long day.
