It was a dark and stormy night. Me and my team were running through the streets of Tomato Town. My team consisted of Xander (our team captain), Martha(my friend), Ruby(Martha's friend) and me (Robin). We were not sure what we were running from, but we had heard some noise from the inside of the Tomato building and we were pretty sure that someone was in there. The people inside the building thought that we were inside the building.
Martha tripped and the whole thing was over. The noise she made while falling down and getting up must have alerted our position to them. I heard the moving of chairs inside the main building, the sound of footsteps , moving against the hard stone floor and the sound of chairs being overturned as the four people inside the building ran up. We began to run. We Heard the sound of the pick-axe, banging against the wall, desperately trying to break it. The wall broke. We ran back and started building a wall made of steel in the middle of the road. We began to run again. The people who were chasing us immediately destroyed the wall with a rocket launcher. Then they began to use their assault rifles. The gunshots echoed in my ears and I desperately, tried to run faster.
All around me my friends were falling. More gunshots resonated throughout the area and I saw Ruby fall. She had been fatally injured. Another round was shot at us and I saw Xander fall down on my left. I didn't bother to check whether he was dead or not. I could clearly see that he wasn't breathing. Within my peripheral vision, out of the corner of my eye I saw a stray bullet hit Martha, tearing through her and burying itself in the near soil. As she fell down I barely had the time to check whether there was even a chance of her being alive, when another round of bullets were fired at me. I saw bullets spraying everywhere except on me. It was as if fate wanted me to live. And who was I to disappoint her.
