"Hiya Leo, when did 'a come?"
"A while ago, munchkin. Who is this?", I couldn't hide my curiosity.
"Hahaha, munchkin it suits you Katie, Barnacles I can't stop laughing. I have heard so much about you Mr. Leo." He looks at her and they share a giggle.
"Who is this Kate?"
"Oh right, Leo meet our captain, The great Billy with an eye for barnacles."
Try as I might I couldn't see anything great about him.
"Hi Bill. It's great to see that our ship is in safe hands", I said with a tinge of sarcasm.
"Barnacles, Don't you worry about that lad. Come here"
He squeezed my ribs while hugging me.
Before I could ask further questions, another skeleton dude came running up to us.
"Good evening Captain, I have bad news."
"What is it now?"
"Dave's run away from the wheel sire."
"Blistering Barnacles, can't a captain have a few minutes to himself? Send Keith and Paul behind him and you hold that blithering wheel. I'll be right behind you."
"Aye Aye captain."
"Sorry Katie, I need to leave to ensure your safety. See you at dinner. So long lad."
Yes because Kate is the only one on the ship. Wait we were having dinner with Bill!??
I turned to Kate, "How do you know Bill?"
"We were classmates in high school. It goes a long way back. Do you wanna go check into our suite?"
"Why does he call you Katie, you never liked it when the others called you that?"
"Only he knows why. I weirdly like the way he says it. Plus he was the one who called me that first and the others at school copied him to annoy me."
"How come we are having dinner with him?"
"He just invited us over and so I decided maybe this could be an opportunity for you guys to get to know each other. He is not as bad as he seems, you know?"
"Hmm alright."
Setting aside all my thoughts on Bill, I eyed Kate and gave her my best smirk.
"Oh Kates let's go explore that suite of ours, shall we?"
I winked to add more emphasis to my intentions and she looked me right in the eye and slowly smirked and winked right back.
I can't wait for you guys to see what is in store for you!
