After Sonic had ate his food (made by none other than Shadow), he decided to go back to his room and catch some sleep since that was all he could do.

Sonic flicked on the little light at the side of his bed and tiredly slipped his sneakers off. The bed was fluffy and soft, making Sonic sigh in content and drift off to sleep.

Meanwhile, Shadow sat in the lab and sighed as he ran his gloved hand over his fur and took his wire. The wire helped Shadow charge up on energy. 'Hopefully this is going to help me.' He thought, sliding in the small wire into his skin, making Shadow wince. His cranberry eyes closed and his ebony form rested against his chair, exhausted.

"Sonic. Wake up." An Angelic, soft voice danced it's way into Sonic's ear making him come to his senses. His emerald eyes opened and blinked a few times before focusing. He suddenly jumped up and stared at what was in front of him. It was the same blonde headed girl with big blue eyes but this time she was wearing a clean, pink frosting night gown. Sonic began to call for help but the young ghostly girl covered his mouth.

"Please, don't be frightened. I can't hurt you." The girl spoke making Sonic suddenly become quiet. He just looked at the girl in confusion. Sonic had fought and met some strange creatures but never a ghostly ghoul. It was extraordinary yet scary and weird.

"Who...who are you?" He whispered almost as if he was talking to himself. The child just smiled and bowed her head softly as her hand left Sonic's mouth.

"My name is Maria Robotnik. I used to live here with Shadow and my Grandfather-Gerald Robotinik." She explained, sitting on the floor cross legged.

"So that explains why I seen you earlier." Sonic spoke, knowing that this was no ordinary ghost, she was more like a real person but...dead?

"I didn't mean to frighten you Sonic. I didn't think you could see me that is all. We have never really had a creature like yourself in the Ark who has had a sixth sense. Isn't it wonderful?"

"A sixth sense? What do you mean?" Sonic asked, scratching his ear in complete confusion. 'This is weird, even to my standards.' Sonic thought, standing up to slip his sneakers on and go look for Shadow.

"Sonic. I am worried about Shadow." Maria confessed, playing with the hem of her dress, biting her lip. Sonic slowly held a hand out to the ghost in front of him as he became almost comfortable with Maria around. After all, she was just a kid.

"Why do you say that? Shadow can take care of himself."

"Well I think he is very sick. The poor thing is always tired looking and grumpy. He can't see me, even if I stand in front of him." Maria took Sonic's hand and let him help her up, feeling a soft tingle form in her arms as her hologram look turned into real skin. Sonic gasped and pulled his hand away, astonished at what had just happened.

"S-Sonic how did you...? What just...?" Maria couldn't speak as her hands went back to the see through look. Sonic shrugged and started to shake a little, this was all to over whelming, even for him. Was he going crazy?
