3 // darkness

After i packed my swim bag, i picked one of my old practice swim suits and put it on. Then i put on a pair of adidas sweatpants, a long sleeve T-shirt, and my crocs that i wear to practice everyday.

When i walked outside, it had just started to rain, and it's pretty cold out, so it's probably going to freeze as soon as it hits the road. Great.

"Ready?" My mom said when i shut the car door.
"Yea, let's go." With that, she started to pull out of the driveway.

"I seriously cannot believe practice wasn't cancelled today, these roads are terrible! I just wish the snow would go away.." my mom shouted as her car slipped for the third time in ten minutes.

"At least school might be cancelled though right?" I said hopefully and then smiled.
My mom rolled her eyes. "Yea, but guess what isn't cancelled? Work. I still gotta go."

I looked up at what was playing on the radio and turned it up just a little and started to hum to the music. Then i looked back down at my phone which started to blow up with notifications.
Taylor Swift liked my post about me going to see her in five days.
"Hey mom, Taylor knows I'm going to the Columbus show this weekend with Pacie!"
"Hm, maybe you'll finally meet her.. without me." She laughed and then frowned.

Suddenly, i felt the car slip again, one last time, before there was a loud noise and then all i saw was darkness.
