Chapter Twelve

Yve pov

I walk back towards the library to find Aiden still sitting at the same spot as I let him. I stop behind him. ''Hey,'' I almost whisper to him. He turns around and looks at me with a smaal smile. ''Why did you run of like that?'' I sigh at his question and take my seat again. ''It's...difficult for me. I really like to explain all of it to you, but I'm afraid I can't handle it. Not again,'' I tell him with a tear rolling down my cheek. A sad smile appears on his face. ''It's alright, you can tell me when you're ready for it. I will wait.'' He takes my hand in his and looks at it with a smile. ''Whatever had happened in the past, will not happen again. I would never hurt you or any of your friends. I can't do that to you.'' He looks back up at my eyes and wipes the tears away that are rolling down my cheek. ''Thank you,'' I say and pull him closer. ''I can really use a hug right now.'' 

At lunch time, professor McGonagall told us that there will be a ball next week. Everyone already started to ask people to be their dates, except for me and my friends. ''Yve, can I talk to you for a second?'' A familiar voice asks from behind. I turn around with a smile and nod. ''Of course.'' He holds out his hand for me to take it, so I do. He walks me out of the Great Hall and stops somewhere outside of it. I turn around so I can see his face again and smile. ''What do you want to talk about?'' I ask with a frown. ''Do you...like...wanna be my date for the ball?'' he asks. My smile grows even bigger after that question and I put my arms around his neck for a hug. ''I thought you'd never ask,'' I laugh and release him. He smiles at me and takes my hand back in his. ''You know what, let's finish our lunch. I'm starving,'' he laughs and puts a hand on his stomach. ''Gladly.''

We walk back into the Great Hall and see my friends looking at me with raised eyebrows and big grins on their faces. I roll my eyes at the sight of them and look back at Aiden. ''See you after lunch,'' I smile. He nods and kisses me on the cheek. ''See you later, Yve.'' He let go of my hand and walks back to the Hufflepuff table. His friends surround him and start asking him questions about me, that's what I can hear before I walk over to the Gryffindor table. ''So, you and Aiden huh?'' Ron asks with a smirk. ''Oh shut it, Ronald,'' I laugh and sit down beside him. ''So, Saturday we're going to Hogsmeade. Looking for our dresses, ask Caeli if she wants to join us,'' Hermione tells me and looks over at the Ravenclaw table. Caeli is sitting besides a blond haired girl. She had bright blue-eyes and seems very nice. ''I will, wait here.'' I stand and walk over to Caeli and her friend.

''Hey, Caeli,'' I smile. The two girls turn around and look at me. Caeli starts smiling but the other girl just frowns at me. ''Hey, sit down, I wanted to ask you something.'' I slowly nod and take the seat next to her. ''So, who's this?'' the blond girl asks. ''This is Yve Rose, Gryffindor. Yve, this is Luna River.'' I reach out my hand to the girl and she takes it with a small smile. ''Nice to meet you, Yve,'' she says. ''Nice to meet you to,'' I smile. We let go of each other's hand and both look at Caeli. ''So, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go dress shopping this Saturday.'' I smile. ''I wanted to ask you the same question. Hermione and I are going dress shopping together and she asked if you wanted to join us,'' I tell her. She looks at Luna and then back at me. ''Can she come with? I don't wanna leave her on her own.'' I nod and take a small cupcake from the food in front of us. ''Of course she can, more fun with more people.'' Luna smiles, and so does Caeli. ''We'll see you tomorrow then,'' Luna says and continues with her food. I nod and walk back to the Gryffindor table. 

''They're both coming,'' I say when I reach the table and take my seat next to Ron back. ''Great, then we're with the four of us,'' Hermione smiles and takes a bite of the sausage on her plate, unlike Ron she is eating her food slowly. Ron just stuffs his mouth full and swallows it. I laugh at him before starting to eat myself. 

The rest of the day we had those boring classes. The fun ones we already had in the morning, before lunch. ''Finally, I can rest now,'' I say when we enter the Gryffindor Common Room. Ron chuckles as he enters after me and lays down on the couch. ''Bloody hell, Ron, I wanted to lay there,'' I say, faking a sad expression. He just laughs and keeps laying on the couch. ''Okay, so you want to play it this way, huh?'' I walk over to him and push him off of the couch and take his position. ''Thank you,'' I smile at him and close my eyes. ''Seriously, you could've just asked me to move.'' He sounds a little annoyed but I ignore it. ''What time is supper starting?'' I ask when I open my eyes and look at the other three. ''In about an hour,'' Harry answers. I sigh and sit up straight. ''I think I already head to the Great Hall, wait there 'till it starts.'' I say and get up from the couch ''I'll come with you,'' Hermione says, standing from her seat. I nod and we both walk out of the Common Room.
