[FEVER CODE SPOILERS]
AUTHOR'S POV
When Newt opened his eyes all was dark. He was in a kind of box and didn't know what to do. All he knew is that is name was Newt. That's all he can remember.
Suddenly the box began to move up. He was so afraid he vomited a couple a time and then it stopped. The door of the box slowly began to opens.
The sun was shining and it affected his vision. A black skinhead boy suddenly appeared in front of him.
Him: Are you okay green been? My name is Alby!
Alby took Newt's hand and helped him to get out of the box
Newt: My name is Newt but it's all I can remember! Why?? Why did I lost my memory?
Alby: I don't know...
The two boys decided to be separated to discover their new home: The Glade.
Newt decided to went to the forest side. He walked a bit, didn't know where he goes and looked completely confused.
He didn't know that a camera system was watching his every single move.
Thomas was sitting on his chair in the computer lab looking at him and sobbing.
Teresa suddenly came into the room and put her hand on Thomas shoulder.
Her: Tom you need some rest.. you've been here no stop since Newt is in the box
Him: I'm not leaving him. Not after what I've done!
Her: This isn't your fault!.. we didn't knew all of this! We've learn that 5 minutes before you told him. You couldn't knew it!
Thomas looked at her, tears in his face
Him: I should had seen this coming! We could have escaped, running far away from here. Just Newt and Me.... And now how I'm going to live with that!! The person I love the most on this planet doesn't remember me!! How could I made him fall in love again with me??
Her: Tom.. if they send us into the maze
Him: Trust me they will or I will force them to
Her: they are going to erase our memories too. You won't remember him. And if you have really loved Newt, and if he really loved you, you will find a way to get each other back l'm certain of that.
She took her hand off his shoulder.
Her: If you need me I will be upstairs with the boys.
She went out of the computer room. She knew that he wouldn't come. Since Newt is gone all Thomas is doing is to be in that computer room and watch him, cry all his tears.
She went upstairs and saw Gally who was waiting for her.
Him: Can I talk to you for a second
She smiled to him
Her: Sure! What's up Gall!
Him: I know that after Minho it will be me that will be send, like you said. But before you go I really want to ask you something.
Her: Go ahead!
Him: since we met and we talk to each other at theses night reunions I learn to know you and I began to really appreciate you. I know I'm not perfect but I love you! I really do! Would you accept to be my girlfriend?
"Oh no!" She thought
Her: You're a very good friend and a nice guy Gall but..
He interrupted her
Him: It's because of Thomas heuh?
Her: Excuse me?
Him: it's because of him! You love him!
Her: that's false and you know it is! Thomas loves Newt and nobody can't change that! I'm not going to love someone when I know that he loves someone else!!
She took a deep breath
Her: the truth is that I want to keep my energy to find the cure! And when I will found it I will be able to live a real life, in a new world!
Gally nodded but inside of him he was really angry against Thomas. He's sure that because of him that Teresa didn't want to be with him.
Teresa went to see Thomas before she goes to sleep what happened with Gally. Because Thomas his her best friend.
Him: Let him some time.. he will forget that.
The thing that he didn't knew is that Gally will bring his angry against him in the maze.
ONE YEAR LATER
It's been now one year that Newt have been sent into the maze he was a runner with Minho Ben and some other boys. The only ones who last now it's Thomas and Teresa. The last one who was Gally have been sent about two months ago.
Thomas felt better. He's not good but he's better than the time when Newt has just be sent. He's now able to go in his room. The night he isn't sleeping. All he felt is flashback about theses nights when Newt and him were in this bed, loving each other.
And when he's so tired he fall asleep. That's how is life is resumed now.
But this morning all will change.
Teresa suddenly woke him up from his sleep
Her: THOMAS!!!
He slowly stood up of the bed and put his clothes on
Her: THOMAS!!!
Him:( with is morning voice) whaaaaaaaaat?
He slowly opened the door and saw Teresa in panic.
He looked at her in a funny way and laugh a bit.
Him: Have you seen a gost or something?!!
Her: It's Newt..
When he heard that he immediately stopped joking
Him: What do you mean????
Her: I was just watching the cameras and you know Newt is a runner but this morning, I checked like five minutes ago and he wasn't acting like usual...
Him: Show me!!!
They went to the computer room to check the cameras and they were both shocked. Newt was climbing a wall of the maze.
Teresa: What is he doing??
Thomas started immediately to panic
Him: Can I talk to him??!! I have to find a way!! I know that he doesn't remember me but just to convince him to get down!!! Please Teresa...Please!!!
Her: We can't Thomas.. trust me if we could by now you would be talking to him.
And they were both there, powerless, watching Newt tried to kill himself by jumping off the wall.
