First Person P.O.V
----Wait, Draco Malfoy wants MY help?
I look back to see that Draco has already left me in the dirt.
"Wait! Draco!" I gasp as I scramble down the steps towards him, a hand raised up slightly. I put my hand on his shoulder and let out a breath.
"I get it. I know that you don't want to help anymore." Draco says simply.
"Shut up for a second, okay? I do want to help and I kind of trust you" I say to him, admitting it. I look him in the eyes. "I don't think you trust me though." I tell him while searching his eyes for a hint. I didn't trust him though, I needed more proof.
"Look Y/N, I trust you, or else I wouldn't have told you. Okay?" He pointed out.
"Okay," I say simply. "Look I need to get to the library so I'll just be on my way." I say to him as I brush past him.
Draco catches my hand and turns me around. "Get a book that has to deal with dark artifacts. Just trust me on it. It has to deal with tonight." He says, with a hint of scarcity in his eyes.
...He is scared. For what though? "I'll get it Draco. Don't blow a fuse over it." I joked slightly, turning around again.
"Bring your wand too," He says.
"I will." I say as I smile at him. I turn and go down the stairs to the library.
~~~
Three Hours Later.I stroll into the Great Hall, because of it now being dinner time.
I look around the Great Hall and sit where I normally sit, all the way at the end. Alone.
I brought the leather book Draco had told me to get. I had to get it from the restricted section, and that gave me a bad feeling. A very bad feeling. I look around and bury my nose into the book. I take a small square of deep chocolate cake and put it on my plate, still looking af the book.
I open up the dusty book again and put some cake into my mouth.
I wonder why he wants my help anyway? I flip through the book until I find that someone sits down next to me.
I look and see Draco sitting next to me. "Oh, hey. I got the book you asked me to get." I say as I wave the book out in front of him. He looks at it sadly.
"Did I get the wrong one?" I ask, clearly confused. His face usually had an annoyed look or a snarky look. Something was up.
"No, no. It's the right book." He reassures to me.
He flips to a page in the book after snagging it from me. I scoot closer to him and look at it.
"A vanishing cabinet?" I ask, worrying. This was suspicious. "Shh, not so loud." He announced quietly.
"Is it broken or something?" I ask him, raising an eyebrow.
I look a little closer at the manila page. "I don't know. I can't seem to get it to work at all." Draco says.
"So, it's broken then." I said, being a bit of a smart alec to him. He shrugged out of being defeated, facing me. He puts his pale finger against part of my chin and brushes the bottom of my lip.
My stomach does a million flips from how unusual this was. "Chocolate. Sorry..." He apologized.
"Better now than later," I tell him honesty with a shrug. I just hoped that others didn't see me.
"Are you ready to go?" He asks me. "Yeah," I close the book and clutch it to my chest. We get off the bench and head to the Room of Requirement.
~~~
I close the door and look around at the mess after being accepted for being let in.
There is stuff everywhere in piles that are stacked. It was like a yard sale. I looked around everywhere, turning as Is slowly walked in circles.
I see Draco start to walk, so I run to catch up with him. He walks to the vanishing cabinet, myself trailing after him.I examine it carefully, trailing a finger against the book page. I open up the doors and look in it.
"Give me something. Please." I say to him. He tosses me a green apple, exactly what I smelled from the potion earlier.
"Thanks," I set the apple in the cabinet. I close the doors and reopen the book. I look at the book and read the spell to fix it.
"Harmonia Nectere Passus." I say with a flick of my wand. I open the cabinet doors cautiously.
I peer in it and see that the apple is gone. "Okay it should be good n-" I partially say as the doors open with an awfully loud creak. I didn't even have time to gasp.
I grab Draco's hand and pull him behind a pile of objects that were towering on each other.
I hold out a hand in front of his chest, an indirect way of telling him to stay back. I peak around the corner and see Harry and Ginny. The power-couple as I've called it before to Hermione.
I see Ginny grab Harry's book and tell him to "close his eyes." Ginny puts her lips onto Harry's. I gave a slight look of disgust, since she had recently broken up with Dean Thomas.
I turn around the corner and see that Draco looked too. We both fake gag and he pulls me back into our hiding spot.
"That was a weird thing to watch." I whisper to Draco. I peer around the corner to see that they both left.
"...They're gone now," I announced to Draco.
I walk back over to the cabinet and open it again. The apple is still gone. "It worked," I say dully.
"I didn't realize it was that easy to do." He says. We smile at each other. "You're welcome." I say, even though he didn't say thank you.
A few minutes pass by. "Hey, Draco?" I ask.
"Yeah?" He answers. "Why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden?" I ask, hoping for an answer that is valid enough.
"I realized that you're not as bad as I used to think you were." Draco says in a nervous tone for whatever reason he has.
"I'm glad you had a change of heart," I say with a light chuckle.
___
We sneak all the way down to the Slytherin dungeons and say the password.
I walk in and sit on the leather couch in the Common Room. I open the book and scan through it.
"Do you need help with anything else?" I ask.
"Yes, actually. I'll go get it." Draco says. He walks up the boys dormitories stairs.
Oh, dear goodness.
___
I wait for a few minutes until he comes down with a green box.
Draco sits down next to me and opens up a box. "You're good at charms right?" He asks me.
"I guess." I tell him and give my typical slight shrug. I had some fun in charms, it wasn't my weakest subject though.
I examine the silver necklace in the box. "What is needed for it?" I ask.
"I need you to curse it." Draco says with a look of plead in his eyes.
I suck in a deep breath and look at him like he was insane. Maybe he was insane. I better get him a business card for a psychiatrist.
"Why?" I ask. Draco waited to give me an answer. To give me an answer he pulls me into a broom closet.
"Don't tell anyone, please." He pleaded, gritting his teeth a bit. He looked... Scared.
Draco's eyes start to glisten with reflective tears. The grey of this eyes adding another form of sadness. The sadness adding onto another, and another.
"I swear it on my life," I say to him. I felt bad for him.
