Chapter Theme: On My Way- By Tiestö feat. Bright Sparks

Marin walked into the car. Two people were in the front. One was a woman that Marin had seen around Adrienne a few times. She had gotten akumatized into Gorizilla a while back. Her real name was Lyra, but Adrienne called her the Gorilla. The other was a man wearing a crisp blue suit. His hair was black, with the exclusion of a streak that was dyed red. He gave Marin a nod. "Marin. Ms Agreste is expecting you." Marin's brow creased. Why?

Adrienne climbed in next to him. How close she was to him made him blush. "Why, Nathan? All Mother knows is that we're working on a project together." Lyra started up the car. "Your mother wants to see Marin. That's all I know." Marin turned to Adrienne, his eyes questioning. She shrugged. She pulled out the baby from her bag, fully clothed. "It's so lifelike..." Adrienne observed. As she said this, the baby blinked. She immediately shrieked and threw it away from her. This involved getting... very close to Marin. Adrienne gently extracted herself from Marin. "Sorry..." she murmured, her face pink. She shook the blush off. She liked Fortune, didn't she?

Adrienne's house wasn't too far from school, so they arrived quickly. Well, the word house wasn't very accurate. Mansion would be better. Nathan entered a code on the gate and it opened. Adrienne and Marin got out. Adrienne gestured to the house, smiling. "This is my house..." Marin was still shocked by it, despite the fact that he had been there multiple times as Fortune. As he opened the door, his shock increased.

Gabrielle Agreste was standing on the stairs.

Gabrielle inclined her head towards Marin. "Monsieur Dupain-Cheng." Marin was too shocked to speak. Adrienne came after him. She seemed surprised that her mother was there. "Come upstairs. We have our meeting in the dining room." Adrienne's brow creased. "Meeting?" Gabrielle nodded, and walked upstairs.

Marin turned to Adrienne, a question screaming out in his eyes. Adrienne couldn't reply. They walked upstairs to the dining room, and found Gabrielle sitting at the head of the tall table.

"Marin. I'm sorry for any inconvenience or stress I may have caused by scheduling this meeting out of the blue, but it was needed. I figured I could hit two birds with one stone when I saw you in class, giving Adrienne a good partner who may help her further her academic career and this meeting." Gabrielle said calmly.

"But... why? I don't see why I'd be called in for a meeting?" Marin said, not at all calm. Nathan walked in and presented a box, which contained the derby hat Marin had made for the contest after Mrs. Pigeon attacked. "When Adrienne modelled this hat, it caused a great deal of interest from the general public. I decided to make it commercially available, which was in the terms and conditions of the contest, on the off chance that your parents want to sue. This hat skyrocketed in sales immediately, even outselling the Adrienne brand of perfume. This has given me an immense profit, which some of which has been saved for you." Gabrielle let this sink in for dramatic effect, which had the desired effect. Adrienne turned to Marin, immensely happy for her friend. Marin didn't appear to be reactive from her beautiful smile, meaning he was in temporary shock.

"Due to the success of your hat, I can offer an internship at Gabrielle.I can pay you, and if you continue to create items to the standard of the hat you procured, your pay will be handsome. Would you have a design book or something of the sort on you?"

Marin snapped out his stupor, nevertheless dazed and internally screaming in joy. "Um.... yes, I it have.. I mean I have it!" He pulled the book out of his bag and presented it to Mlle. Agreste.

Her eyes widened as she skimmed through the book. "These designs are the work of a prodigy. True masterpieces." If Adrienne had kissed him there and then, his face couldn't have been more red. "T...thank you!"

Gabrielle then did something miraculous. She smiled. "Will you accept my offer?" Marin nodded an approximate 98 times. "Yes! Thank you!

"No, thank you. I'll leave you to your project now." Gabrielle walked off.

Adrienne turned to Marin, who's smile was wider than the Earth.

He looks adorable, she thought.
