"Marin, you're going to be late for the first day of school!" Sam called from downstairs. He rose from his bed, "Coming, Dad!" He trudged downstairs and kissed his father, then begun making breakfast. "With my luck, Cole will be in my class again..." Marin groaned. Sam walked over to wash some dishes. "5 years in a row? Is that possible?" Marin smiled sadly. "Knowing my luck, yes." Then the chocolate powder fell, spilling, and knocking a fruit bowl which fell into the sink.

Adrienne looked around, ensuring no one was there. She had to go to school. She needed a chance to be a normal kid. But her mother insisted on staying home, learning and modelling. But that was finally behind her. She opened her mansion's large doors and ran out. Gabrielle Agreste saw all this from her atelier, on a video screen. Her serious voice rang out through the room. "Nathan, fetch Adrienne from College Francoise-DuPont." Nathan nodded, bringing Lyra, Gabrielle's bodyguard with him.

Marin frowned. There was a strange box on his desk. He hadn't ordered anything, nor asked. He guessed it was a gift from his parents for him starting 8th grade. He opened it, and found an earring. At least, that's what he saw before a red aura surrounded it. Marin scrambled backwards. When the glow faded, a small thing was hovering above it. It looked a little like a ladybug, except it was bigger, didn't have wings, and looked like a genie. "Wh-what! Flying-mouse thing!" The flying-mouse thing smiled. "It's ok, Marin!" This scared Marin even more. "Talking flying-mouse thing that knows my name!" His hand reached for a glass, then slammed it on the thing. It smiled. "If that's how you want it, then ok!" Marin edged forward. "What are you?"
"My name is Tikka. I'm a kwami."

"KIM!" Stoneheart yelled. She trudged through the stadium, looking for the object of her rage. Kim looked up and nearly froze. "Eva?" she squeaked. Stoneheart snatched her up and smiled. "You'll PAY for what you did!" Marin looked upon this from the stadium rooftop. He was frozen. Tikka had said he had to help. He wanted to. But he was scared. Being a superhero was something Alyn would be more suited to. Before Marin could decide, he heard something land next to him. He looked over and saw a girl, clad in black. The costume looked similar to his, and appeared to be based off a cat.

Adrienne smiled at the boy next to her. He looked like a ladybug. He was cute. Really cute. He found his voice. "Who are you?" That was a question that she hadn't expected. "I'm... Minou Noire. Yeah, that works. So I guess you're my partner?" She smiled at him. She'd never got to flirt with a boy before, and she liked it. Before he could reply, a roar came from the stadium. "MILES!"

"Pound it!" Marin and Minou smiled. "Well, looks like you did a good job." Marin said to his partner. "You didn't go so bad yourself." Minou Noir replied, smiling. "Hey, wait!" A call from Alyn, who had helped defeat Stoneheart, caught his attention. "I have so many questions! How'd you get your powers? How'd you defeat Stoneheart? What's your name?" Alyn had this all on his phone. Before Marin turned to leave, the last question made him smile. He turned to Aly . "Fortune. My name is Fortune." His earring beeped and he threw his yoyo upwards, pulling him out of sight. Adrienne sighed. "Fortune..."

"OK, class. We have a student with us today. Please welcome Adrienne Agreste." Adrienne smiled and waved. She got a frosty stare from Marin, who thought she had put gum on his chair when really, she was removing what Cole had placed. "Adri!" Cole cried, pulling her over to her seat.

Marin walked out of school. It had started to rain, and he hadn't brought an umbrella. He groaned. Suddenly, he stopped feeling raindrops. He looked over and saw Adrienne next to him. "Hey. I thought you could use this." They stood there for a minute before Adrienne broke the silence. "I really didn't put gum on your desk. Cole did it, I was trying to get it off." Marin heard truth in that. No one who was this nice would do things that Cole and Sebastian did. "Friends?" she questioned, holding out the umbrella to him. "Y-yeah.... sure." He took it, and at that moment, their hands touched. Marin turned a bright red. Suddenly, a grey limo pulled up. "I have to go. See you tomorrow, Marin!" Marin was shocked. She knew his name. "B-b-b-bye..." Marin trailed off, smiling. As Adrienne walked down the stairs, Playgg floated out of her jacket. "Ooh, looks like someone's in looove!" Playgg teased.
