        Josiah walked through the drug store, searching the shelves to find anything useful. There wasnt much left there, as the group had made runs here before, however, some food and medicine was left.

        "Hey Jessica, I found the food Isle, but it's pretty picked over too." Josiah said looking up. Jessica came over and without making eye contact, reached down to the canned goods.

        "This isn't how we left it last time." Jessica said as she put the goods into a shopping bag.

       "What do you mean?" Josiah said as he picked up a can of soup and put it into the brown bag.

        "Someone else has been here." she claimed, moving to an upper part of the shelf and packing some pastas.

        "Well they're not here now, so I don't think we have anything to worry about." he said, moving up and standing next to her. She kept on grabbing the goods and putting them into the bag in silence until the food that was still salvageable was all in the bag.

        "Only three bags of food, this is our worst run yet." she said, looking down at the bags that were now filled. "I guess we should go and check for medicine now."

        "Yeah, I guess we should." he said, looking at her suspiciously. As she looked up and then walked over to the medicine section, he followed,  carefully stepping over a body lying on the ground.

        "Alright, so we need any type of painkiller and allergy medication. So just look for both and pack everything you find." she said as she grabbed a bad and started rummaging through what was left. Josiah stood in one of the isles and stared over at her. He then turned his attention back down to the shelves and continued packing medicine.

Josiah and Jessica met up at the front of the store and showed each other what they got. Jessica smiled as she saw how much medicine they had but was dissapointed with the food.

        "This won't last us a week," she said shaking her head, "there is a food store about a mile up the road, I think we should go there and get more food." she said as she grabbed some of the bags from Josiah. As they went to leave the drug store, Jessica  turned to the exit while Josiah started walking over to the cash register, smiling as he pulled out his wallet. He scrambled to get a 10$ bill out but when he looked up, he realized that...... there was no one there. There was no one anywhere. He looked around for a few seconds before he dropped the bill and stared down at the ground. Jessica had been watching and walked over to him.

        "The same thing happened to me on my first run," she said as she put her hand on his shoulder, "I know how hard this is, excepting something like this. Its been hard on all of us." she said moving his head up with her finger so there eyes met.

        "You can't leave me out here." Josiah said, now that they finally had eye contact. She looked stunned as she heard the words come out of his mouth. "I know that's why you brought me and not someone that you actually trusted." he said as me moved her hand off his shoulder amd broke the eye contact. He had taken the shopping bags and had walked out of the store. Jessica looked down at the ground and let put a big sigh. She then walked out of the store and joined Josiah in the car. She put the keys in and twisted it, starting up the engine. Jessica pulled the car out of the parking lot and headed up the street. As they were driving Jessica spoke.

        "I was planning on leaving you. But that was when we first left. After we had talked on the way here, something changed. You don't seem like the person I thought you we're, you don't seem like a murderer." she said as she looked at the road and over to him as she was speaking. He looked up at her and stared for a few seconds.

        "I'm not a murderer." he replied.

        "I know that now. But if someone killed one of your parents I bet youd be suspicious of them too. Not exactly the person that you'd want to let into a group of people that are like your family now." she said as she took a turn onto a road called "Chandler Lane".

        "You were being a leader. I respect you for that. And your mom, I'm so sorry about your mom." he replied.

        "Let's just not talk about it"

        "She just got in the way and...."

        "I said let's not talk about it, its fine Josiah." Jessica said, cutting him off. "Besides, we're here anyways." she said as she took a turn into a Market Basket parking lot. As they parked the car in a first row handicapped spot, they stepped out of the car and saw that the lights were still on ij the store.

        "Thats funny, I thought the power would be out here just like everywhere else." Jessica said as she started walking towards the store.

        "Something isn't right, we have to be careful." Josiah said as he caught up to her speed of walking.

        "When am I not careful?" she said as she looked at him and both smiled a little. "God its so hard to smile nowadays."

        "Tell me about it." he said as he walked and opened the doors into the store. When they walked in Jessica gave Josiah a list of food items and the two split up, planning to meet back up in 20 minutes.

As Jessica searched the shelves, she looked over at the bakery section and saw the breads and cakes that had been enclosed and not touched by the dead that now roamed. She ran over with a smile on her face and picked up one of the smaller cakes in her hand. She licked her lips as she looked at it and just as she was about to take a bite, she heard an unfamiliar voice.

        "Put the goddamn cake down blondie!" the voice said as she turned around and gasped.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Josiah moved up and down the isles looking for items on his list when he heard a voice and Jessica gasp. He got down to the ground and moved across the isles from the back of the store until he got over to the bakery section where he saw Jessica handcuffed and sitting back, with a teenage boy guarding her. As she looked up and made eye contact with him, he made a gesture that looked like he was trying to get a message across but her eyes suddenly widened.
        "WATCH OUT!" she screamed as a teenage girl came up behind him and knocked him out with her gun.
