   I walked in that shop like a brand new person. I nodded my head to the guys in the shop and I clocked in. Black Sam just stared at me and walked into his office. I felt nervous. I didn't want to screw up. Zeus walked in. He flashed me that million dollar smile. He walked up to me.

"New day new you shorty" He said as he walked to his station to set up. I waited anxiously for a customer. It started off slow I was thinking that my attitude scared them all off. But a girl walked in with her little boy. She was light skinned with these bright green eyes. She was a very pretty girl.

"Is Brooklyn here?" She said. I walked up to her.

"Yeah that's me and you are?" I asked.

"Oh my name is Crystal I made a appointment for some work I want done."

"Well I'm the one. And who is this little man?" I asked rubbing his face.He gave me the cutest smile and he blushed. He repeated that his name was Nicolai. Afterwards I showed them to my station as I began on her tat. The whole time I was engaged in conversation with Nicolai. At the corner of my eye I see Zeus smiling. I keep up with the work.

After I finished she had this portrait of two doves. One white and one blue. The white dove was larger than the blue one. It represented her and Nicolai. It was really nice. After I finished I began on the next person. Zeus walked up to me and pulled a chair next to me.

"Shorty lets go out to lunch. You know this time you choose." he said stroking my ponytail. I smiled and nodded yes. It was better than what I did last time. I was giving him a chance.

    We went to my favorite restaurant A&W. I ordered us two grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and two rootbeers.

"These ain't half bad shorty. How you find out about this spot?" he asked.

"Well my momma use to take me here before she abandoned me and died.

Everytime she would get extra change from tips. We would eat here you know. But she is dead now. Committed suicide on my 14th birthday.But yeah..." I said. Zeus frowned up a little.

"You know you are great with children. I saw with little man today. I got a little girl myself named Keisha." Zeus said. That caught me off guard.

"A little girl huh." I replied quickly.

"Yeah I had her when I was sixteen. Me and her momma had dreams. We were in love. She fell in love with some one else. Left Keisha and me. I was still young. I dropped out of school and worked towards my dreams." He said looking at the sky. I held his hand.

"Who did she fall in love with?" I asked.

".......The streets." he said as a tear fell down his face. I kissed him on the cheek.

He smiled at me.

"Shorty you make me feel a certain way. Something I ain't feel in a long time. A long time. I hope it stay for a long time. I hope you stay for a long time." he said.

"I hope so too Zeus. I hope so too." I said as he kissed my hand and held it to his face........
