Chapter Fourteen: Home Invasion Part 1

Before we left to go to the party, I gave Frank my phone number and told both Gerard and him that if anything happens to give me a call or shoot me a text. Once I made sure they were all good, I grabbed my car keys and yelled for Alex, Anna, and Jack. An over-energetic Jack came running down the stairs followed by an amused yet slightly irritated Anna. I called for Alex again because he takes forever. Two minutes later, a scruffy looking Alex walked into the front hall. "Did you do that scruffy look on purpose?" I asked as I opened the front door. I already knew the answer, I just wanted to say something about it.

"You already know the answer. Yes." Alex laughed. I swear he can read my mind sometimes.

When we got to Rian's house people were already outside drinking their life's away. We all walked inside to see Rian talking to Cassadee and Zack sitting awkwardly on the couch. The crew of Pierce The Veil was there too. Along with Of Mice & Men. I almost had a fan girl moment, but I held it in. Seeing Austin, Tony, and Mike, Alex put his arm around my shoulder. I cuddled into his side to reassure him that it's okay. He just recently got over the Gerard and Frank thing, but he probably feels triple threatened with Austin, Tony, and Mike being here. He does know that I like them. Lets just say, I like lots of band members but wouldn't make a move on any of them.

Alex and Jack left to talk to Rian and Zack a couple minutes after we arrived, so Anna and I went to a quiet, less busy room because we don't like being around such large crowds of people. Hence the name that people often call us in school, "anti-social".

"So.." Anna began talking as she walked into a bedroom I'm assuming was Rian's because there were pictures of Alex, Jack, Zack, and him making stupid faces on a bulletin board. "I haven't spoken one on one with you since before Jack and I and Alex and you got together." She continued, sitting on Rian's bed. "Yeah. It has been awhile." I responded, browsing the pictures on the bulletin board. "I should ask Rian to copies these." I chuckled as I took the tac off the photos, letting them fall into my hand. I looked down at them and smiled then showed Anna.

The first photo was of Rian playing drums, the second was of Jack sticking his tongue out as he played guitar, the third was of Zack looking as happy as I've ever seen him playing his bass, and last but not least was Alex having a huge smile on his face. He looked like a toddler that got his first lollipop. I flipped it over and saw that these pictures were took at the small gig that I got the ticket to go too. I flipped it back to the picture side one last time. Just as I was about to stop looking at them and talk to Anna, I looked at Alex's again. I knitted my eyebrows in confusion at what I saw. His smile was saying he was extremely happy, but his eyes told a different story. I have never seen his eyes look that sad before. I thought for a minute what could have bothering him in that moment but nothing came to mind.

I still really liked the picture, but the fact that I didn't know why he was so sad bothered me. I decided to ask him later so I put my happy face back on and turned my focus to Anna. "There's a reason why Jack took Alex to talk to Zack and Rian. I also wanted to speak to you alone too." She said nervously, twiddling her thumbs. "Okay. What's up?" I asked sitting on Rian's black swivel computer chair, still holding onto the photos. I planned on asking Rian to make copies tonight. "Well, Jack and I are going on a vacation together for three weeks." She said, avoiding eye contact with me. Judging by the way she's acting, she thinks in gonna be mad and yell at her.

"That's great! What's it for though? And where?"

She looked up at me surprised and blinked blankly a couple times before speaking. "For our anniversary and we're going to Disney World for the first week then going to California to visit the beach because we both heard that it's beautiful and to of course visit some other stuff too. It's really expensive, I know. But I just figured we should go because it's our first anniversary and to me the first one is the most special. We're leaving in three days." She said finally making eye contact with me. "I was so busy with mine that I totally forgot about your guys anniversary. But that's awesome! Jack will love Disney World." I said jumping up and engulfing her in a hug. "Enough about mine. What are you and Alex doing?" She smiled.
