Just incase any of you didn't know how to pronounce Jules' name, you would just say it like you would say Julie but spelt differently cX

ALEX

I woke up to the only sun to shine into Jules' room beaming onto my face. My automatic response was to pull the blanket or pillows over my face, but I couldn't because I realized that Jules was cuddled into my side. I remembered what happened last night, she spent the rest of the night crying her eyes out so she must still be exhausted. I do believe that crying was what she needed to release some of that sadness she was bottling up.

I, as gently as I could, started to inch my way off of the bed. When I got off, I headed into the bathroom. While I was brushing my teeth, I thought about how I missed my parents and when I could visit them. I practically moved in with Jules so I don't see them as often anymore. Then I realized that Jules has never met my parents.

No, no, this isn't a good time. After everything that happened maybe I should just go myself for now. But what's the harm in asking? Either she'll be enthusiastic or extremely mad. I'll just go myself, if she asks where I'm going I'll tell her and if she wants to come she can. Yup, sounds like a plan. I went to put my toothbrush back into the cup when I saw something I never wanted to see again. A razor, just sitting right on the edge of the sink. I picked it up and inspected it. It wasn't used which was a good thing, but why did she even have it. I thought she gave all of them to me.

I put it in a washcloth and carried it out to the garbage. I took it out of the washcloth and threw it away. She didn't need anything to remind her of what she did to herself before or anything to help her relapse.

When I got back into her room I sat down where I previously was. A couple minutes after just sitting there scrolling through whatever social media site I clicked on, I felt a poke on my cheek. I glanced over to see Jules smiling at me innocently. "Hi." She giggled.

"Hey." I smiled back. "Are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah. Oddly, a lot better. It's feels weird to be a little back to myself again." She said. "It shouldn't feel weird, it should feel great." I joked. "Um." I broke eye contact with her by looking down. "I found your razor."

It took her a minute to answer. "I didn't use it." She sat up and showed me her arms. "See?"

"That's good but you haven't been out of the house, so where did you get it?" I asked and she shifted nervously. I sighed. "Where's your extras?"

I knew that look. It's the look you give your parents when they ask where you went the night before or where you got candy from when you weren't suppose to have it.

She stood up without a word and pulled a bag of 3 out from underneath her matress then handed me it. "Is this all now or is there some underneath the kitchen sink?"

"No, that's all." She answered.

I nodded and stood up, kissing her cheek before starting to head back out to the garbage.

"Alex, wait." She called and came over to me, standing on her tip toes a little, she pressed her lips softly to mine.

Ever since 'that' happened to her, we haven't kissed or did anything because I was waiting till she was ready. I know it would be hard to get back into the whole kissing thing if it happened to me. So it was only right to wait.

She pulled away. "I'm sorry. I know it's really hard for you to try and keep your girlfriend clean." She whispered. "Don't worry about it Jules. If it's for you, I would do anything." I tucked a piece of stray hair behind her ear and smiled before leaving the room.

JULES

I watched him leave then sat back on my bed to think for a minute.

Alex, he's so sweet, he's doing all this for me which makes me a little better knowing I have some support but why do I feel so guilty? Maybe I need to stop being so secluded and start to try to forget about everything that happened. But it's harder than I think. No, I need to do it or at least try to, for Alex.

"Hey Jules! Can you come up here real quick!" I heard someone call from the top of the stairs, judging by the voice, it was Jack.

"Sure! Be right up!" I responded, feeling confident from the little talk I had with myself.
