Annoyance occupied my mind all the way back to the hotel. I couldn't see anything besides Jimin's stupid smirk in my mind, and it made me want to punch his pretty little face. How could he find this okay? Ruining two random peoples vacation?
There's plenty of girls all in this city. Why did he pick the two most unavailable and uninterested girls? I have no desire to be here with him or to be apart of whatever little playboy plan he might have. It looked like Olivia didn't either now. Even she was getting tired. She had her head against the window on the left side of me with her eyelids slipping down, while Jimin was on my right playing on his phone like he had been the whole time. No one really said anything, which just proves my point further that there was no reason for him to be here.
After a few more pointless minutes of anger I stopped thinking about Jimin and all the stupid things he'd bombarded us with today, and just focused on what I was going to do when we got back. I was going to get out of this car as quick as possible, throw a half-hearted goodbye to Jimin, grab Olivia, and finally go to sleep. Finally be away from and done with Park Jimin. This day is going to be over and we can try again tomorrow. We can forget about that stupid boy who ruined the beginning of our trip and try again. It would be okay.
Now that I wasn't reeling, I came back to reality and patiently waited for the driver to pull up to the hotel. Judging on my little knowledge of the area we were in, I'm almost positive the hotel is only about two minutes down the road.
I glanced over at Olivia, who looked even more tired than she had before. I rubbed her arm and she gave a faint smile with eyes continuously slipping shut. Then I turned my attention to Jimin.
His eyes weren't on his phone anymore. In fact, his phone was nowhere to be seen.
They were on me. With a look that somewhat looked familiar having had been with him all day, a look that read I want to tick you off. But there was also a twinge of other things. Knowing, and something else.
"Can I help you?" I had meant to say it with bitterness, but any trace of emotion had worked it's way out of me when the tiredness took over.
"You've seemed particularly disinterested in me today," he said with a smirk on his mouth and dark chocolate eyes.
"Listen Jimin. I'm just gonna be honest." I turned towards him as to not bother Olivia. "I'm sure you're a fine person, but this trip means a lot to Olivia and me. We've been dreaming of this since forever-"
"So I've heard" I ignored his little comment and kept going.
"- and we placed a rule that we wouldn't get involved with boys."
I stopped, looking for a reaction, but he still just sat there with that weird look and an everlasting smirk.
"So maybe you could find another pair of girls, that hasn't been dreaming about this and doesn't have a million rules and what not. You know?" I just wanted him to understand. He seemed like he wasn't getting it.
I gave up and turned forward as the Uber pulled up to the hotel entrance.
Jimin opened the door as I gently wiggled Olivia's arm to wake her up. We all exited the car, said thank you to the driver, and looked at each other as the car drove off.
"Listen girls, now that I know your weird little teenage girl rules-" I gave him a glare "- I'll just walk you to your rooms and we can be done for the night, okay?"
For the night. How reassuring.
Olivia grabbed my hand and squeezed it. Just keep going and it'll be over soon.
