We were nearing the store we had talked about, and peered in the windows. There was a particular flowy pink blouse that I had my eyes on- displayed on a beautiful looking woman mannequin. Beside that mannequin was a male one, in a suit that perfectly matched the blouse.

Olivia squealed and opened the door. There were clothes racks everywhere, a man and a woman behind the check out counter, a group of girls pointing at items and talking, and a blonde man with his back turned to us wearing a long grey coat. Again, a lot less crowded that I expected.

"Ooh, Amanda look!" Olivia ran over to a wall of clothing, apparently having found something. I followed her and skimmed the clothes on the way, but nothing stood out too much.

Olivia grabbed a shirt and held it over the one she was wearing. She looked at me expecting my opinion. I don't know why, though. She looked good in everything.  "It would look amazing on you.  You should get it."

She smiled at me and continued looking around the store. "If I'm getting something, so are you."

I bit my lip and looked around the store once again. The women's section was on the right side, men's on the left, and there were dressing room stalls in the back that had a waiting area in front of them. All the clothes were really fancy, but I was more of a band t-shirt girl. The only thing I really liked had been that blouse on the storefront mannequin, but I didn't see it anywhere.

"I liked that one on the mannequin out front but I don't see it in here. How about you just get that shirt and we'll go look at a different st-" Before I could finish my sentence, Olivia happily skipped towards the people at the check out counter.

She had this little innocent look on her face that made the person she was talking to do whatever she wanted. "Is there any possible way that my friend can try on the top that's on the mannequin?" She smiled sweetly up at the man and woman as she pointed back at me.

They looked at my as I casually tried to hide myself behind a clothes rack. Olivia knew I hated social confrontation. I gave her I look that said I will slap you.

"Well sure miss- but that's the only one we have in store. If this one doesn't fit, I'm afraid you'll have to come back another time." the sweet woman said to her as she walked to the store front. Olivia looked back at me and gave me a thumbs up.

This seemed like a lot of trouble when we could just go to another store, but Olivia had always been a pretty persistent person. And with that- she always usually got her way, too.

The blouse had seemed pretty, but I just wanted to leave now. Not only the workers, but everyone in the store had turned and looked at me when Olivia pointed. I felt like a little awkward potato just standing there while the woman took the blouse off the mannequin and walked it over to me- Olivia following behind her.

I wasn't really sure what size I was when it came to fancy clothes numbers. Again, I really only ever wore faded t-shirts. But I thanked the woman as Olivia dragged me over to the dressing room stalls at the back.

"Try it on!" Olivia said to me excitedly and ushered me into one of the stalls. She then sat down in the little waiting area outside- excitedly waiting for me to show her the top.

I walked in, locked the door, and looked back and forth between the blouse and myself in the mirror. There is no way that is going to fit me. I decided to give it a try anyway- mainly for Olivia who had gone through all the trouble to get it to me.

I pulled it over my head and tugged it into place while I looked in the mirror.

Woah. Not only did it fit, but it actually looked a lot better than I imagined it would.

I turned excitedly to unlock the door and show Olivia the top.

When I opened the door, though- she wasn't in the waiting area like she had been earlier. She was now turned away from me, talking to the boy with the grey coat from earlier. He now had a shopping bag in his hand and was a very invested conversation with my best friend.

Time for boy-bodyguard duties.

I walked up beside them and crossed my arms to establish my presence. I heard the words California and dance come from them before Olivia noticed me and looked at the top.

"Amanda that looks amazing on you! I knew it would! You have to get it!" She exclaimed.

I ignored her praise and squinted at the slightly taller boy in front of me. "Did I miss something?" I said with a little coldness. He had been smiling when I initially walked up, but what I said turned that smile into an questioning gaze. He looked me up and down with a smirk on his face. Stupid boys.

Olivia suddenly remembered what had been happening before I walked up. "Oh, yeah. We were just talking about how you and I just came here. Amanda this is Ji.... I'm sorry. What was your name again?" She smiled sheepishly at the boy.

He stuck out his hands towards mine to shake. "Jimin. Park Jimin. Nice to meet you. You must be Amanda." He smiled down at me.

As I was shaking his hand, I nodded at him warily. Whenever guys were trying to get to Olivia, they always acted polite towards me because I was the best friend. They wanted to be approved of, but it never works.

He looked me straight in the eyes with a smug grin and I looked right back at him with accusing squinted eyes. I didn't know, like, or trust him, but he didn't deserve a completely evil glare. Yet.

"Amanda, let's go buy these tops and then Jimin is going to show us around, right Jimin?" Olivia asked, sensing the tension between him and I. He nodded happily, and then Olivia grabbed my wrist and pulled me over to the check out and away from the suspicious boy.

"I'll wait for you guys outside." Stated Jimin as he walked out the door, still holding the shopping bag. As soon as he was gone, I glared at Olivia.

"You told him he could show us around??" I slapped her in my mind and the lady behind the counter took the clothes and started putting them in a bag.

"Yeah, so what? He's friendly and cute. He said he's a dancer and he seems trustworthy. It'll just be for the rest of the day. Pleeeease? After today we can never talk to him again if you don't want to." She looked at me with puppy eyes.

I grabbed the shopping bag from the woman, ready to tell Olivia no. "We don't even know him! He could be a murderer! Even he's not, he's just trying to get to you and you know it. You know our deal with relationships right now." We started walking towards the door while Jimin was outside waiting for us.

"Amanda. Just give him a chance. Do it for me. I promise, I don't like him.

"I just thought it'd be nice to get a tour from someone who knows their way around. And we already found someone!" I could feel my guard slipping away. She had a point.

For emphasis, she looked at me with one more begging look.

"Okay, fine. Today only." I pushed open the door where Jimin was awaiting us. Olivia smiled and walked towards him, but not before she turned around and whispered "Who knows? You might even end up liking him more than you think you will."

I rolled my eyes in doubt as we walked down the crowded street. All three of us.
