Chapter One: Into Minecraft

"HUNTER!"

Tommy woke up in his bed, screaming. Again. It was the second time this week, and the same exact dream, too...

His dad and sister, Jenny, came sprinting in.

"What is it?" Jenny asked.

"Just a bad dream," Tommy murmured, rubbing his head, which he had hit on the headboard when he sat up. "Really, I'm fine."

"Tommy, this is the second time this week!" Tommy's dad said. "What's going on?"

"I-I don't know!" Tommy stammered. "Just...in my dreams, Hunter keeps dying or disappearing..." He sighed. "I feel like I need to check on her."

"Tommy, you're not going into Minecraft again," his dad stated. "You almost died last time."

"So did you!"

"Argh...both of you be quiet!" Jenny ordered. "Dad, I think Tommy's right. What if Hunter's in danger? He has to help her."

"Out of the question," he replied.

"Dad, please," begged Tommy. "Hunter is one of my favorite people in the world. If I lost her... I don't know what I'd do."

"Do you love her or something?" 

Tommy blushed a deep crimson color. "Maybe," he answered simply.

Jenny giggled, and Tommy shot her a look.

"Whether I lover her or not isn't either of your concern," Tommy said. "The point is that she's my best friend and I'd do anything to save her."

"Er, Tommy, has it crossed your mind that maybe your dream was, uh, just a dream?" asked Tommy's dad.

"Dad, when I have dreams as realistic as these at least twice in a row," Tommy said, "it usually means they're real." He sighed. "Besides, I use the Land of Dreams, and those are always real." He sighed again. "If Hunter's dying in the dream, then she's dying in real life. That's why I need to help her."

Tommy's dad sighed. "Okay, son. You may go into Minecraft..."

Tommy smiled.

"...on one condition."

"What?" Tommy asked. "Anything!"

"You have to bring your sister and I with you."

Tommy groaned. "Whyyyyyy?"

"Because I said so. Also, we need to look after you."

"But...you guys...well, you guys...you're not the best at Minecraft..."

Jenny folded her arms. "That's not nice!" she scolded. "Remember when Herobrine almost murdered you that one time?"

Tommy chuckled. "Which time? There's about ninety of them."

"The time at the ocean temple. I was there, helping you."

"And I fought with you when Herobrine was in those other forms," Tommy's dad said. "Do remember that it was ME who destroyed Herobrine in the end. MY idea. All you had to do was not get your butt whooped while I worked."

"Firstly, all YOU had to do was smash a computer," said Tommy. "It was very, very hard and I woulda been toast. Also, you're still not that good. Saving people's lives is dangerous. I don't want either of you to..."

He didn't finish the sentence. The horrified thought that one of them might die was too scary for him.

"If you don't let us go, then you're not going!" Jenny said, stomping her foot.

"Jenny, it's not for you to decide," Tommy's dad told her. "But she's got a point. You either bring us along or you don't go."

Tommy thought about this for a moment. Would it really kill him to bring them along? They were his family, and they were good for moral support. But then again, they could screw something up, causing him to fail. 

But this is Hunter we're talking about...

"Fine," Tommy said, surrendering. "You can come with me."

Jenny squealed and jumped up and down. "YAAAAAAAY!!!!"

Tommy's father smiled. "I knew you'd make the right choice."

Tommy rolled his eyes. "Let's go, then," he said. "I don't want to waste any time here, people. Every second we spend waiting is a second Hunter spends dying."

He tugged Jenny downstairs and she almost tripped because he was running so fast. By the time that Tommy's dad had gotten downstairs, Tommy had already started up Minecraft and set up the Digitizer.

"Come on!" Tommy urged, trying to get his slow-as-a-snail sister to step onto the Digitizer's platform.

"Geez, for God's sake, Tommy, hold on for a second!" she said. "I'm just tying my shoe!"

"YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE SHOELACES IN MINECRAFT!" Tommy yelled. "Forget the shoes!"

Jenny rolled her eyes and stepped into the Digitizer. They held onto each other as it began to whir and clank, the lights began to flash, and the electricity that was around them buzzed...

...and soon all of that noise stopped, and the three of them woke in a cubed land. Everything was made of cubes. Everything. The ground, the clouds, the sun, the lakes. All cubes. Looking around, they knew where they were- Minecraft.

Gameknight999 (Tommy) Monet113 (Jenny) and Monkeypants271 (Tommy's father) stood up and looked around themselves.

"It feels good to be back," Monet sighed, putting her blocky hands on her hips.

"Agreed," Monkeypants said.

Gameknight turned away from the pair of them and started heading up the hill. Monkeypants and Monet realized he was gone and dashed up after him. Over the hill was Crafter's village. Gameknight saw Crafter walking along the path-well, pacing was better to describe it-and talking to himself.

"Crafter!" Gameknight shouted. "Hey, Crafter!"

Crafter looked up.

"Gameknight! Oh thank the Oracle you're here!" He turned to the side. "HEY STITCHER! GAMEKNIGHT'S HERE!"

"Really?" Stitcher's voice asked. Gameknight saw her red hair peek out from behind a cobblestone block. When she saw Gameknight, she smiled. "Gameknight!" She sprinted up the hill faster than lightning. 

"I'm so glad you're here!" she said, hugging him. 

"Stitcher, is Hunter here?" Gameknight asked.

Stitcher shook her head. "No. And that's why I was so excited to see you. Gameknight, a new monster king came and took Hunter from our village. He...he took her to Herobrine."

HI GUYS! I know I started working on a different story, but this idea came to me at school and I just thought you'd all love it! I hope you like the story. 

The song at the beginning was i=fantasy by SeeU. I just thought it would fit this book, especially after looking at the English subtitles (what language was it originally in? Japanese? Chinese? I have no clue).
