Gameknight was exhausted.

He had been walking for hours. With time running out, he was trying to go faster, but his legs wouldn't allow it. He refused every potion that someone in his group tried to give him, claiming that 'potions were for the weak.' Stitcher had rolled her eyes at that.

When the moon was at all full rise, the gang decided to stop for a moment. Monkeypants and Stitcher worked to make a firepit, while Crafter and Monet went out hunting. Herder and Digger set up the camp while Gameknight kept watch for any monsters.

Herobrine had been whispering into his ear through his machine the entire walk there. It was getting rather creepy. He was saying things like 'I am going to win, and there's nothing you can do' and 'face it, you'll fail' and 'you're mine, all mine...' That last one he said waaaaaay too much...it was starting to get really scary.

Gameknight felt someone touching him. He turned around, but there wasn't anyone there.

What is going on? he thought.

He walked over to Stitcher.

"Hey, Stitcher," he said, "can you take over guard duty for me? Just for a couple hours?"

"Of course, Gameknight," Stitcher said, standing up from the ground and looking at him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine,"Gameknight replied, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck (that was something he did quite a lot when he was nervous back in the physical world).

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"Oh, it's just..." He was about to make something up, but then he realized...was it worth lying about? She'd figure it out anyway.

"Listen...I'm going to tell you something. You have to promise to not freak out."

Stitcher nodded.

"Herobrine's somehow been using this special machine to talk into my mind," Gameknight told her. "He's saying things like...things like..."

"Spit it out!" Stitcher said.

"He keeps telling me that I'm his," Gameknight said. "He always says, 'you're all mine' or something...I don't know what it means, but I'm getting scared."

Stitcher hugged him.

"It's gonna be okay," she said. "Whatever he's trying to do, we'll stop him. I promise."

"Thanks. I'm just gonna take a rest."

Gameknight walked away from Stitcher and sat down by a tree. He fell asleep staring up the stars in the sky. He fell asleep surprisingly easy, too...

Fog wrapped around the User-that-is-not-a-User's ankles as he walked through the dense forest that he recognized so well. He was in the Land of Dreams, the place he went to whenever he dreamed. But there was something odd about the place. It had an eerie feeling that he'd never felt before, not here.

Gameknight looked around himself. Then he saw it.

A single piece of redstone dust on the ground.

"What the..." he said to himself, kneeling down to look at it. There was a trail of it. He followed the trail for about fifteen blocks until there came a sign. A sign that said-

YOU'RE MINE FOREVER.

-HEROBRINE

Gameknight took a step back. Memories of Herobrine Sighting videos came flooding into his mind. Since players didn't bleed in Minecraft, Herobrine would use redstone dust to try to impersonate bloodstains.

I gotta get outta here, he thought.

But wherever he ran, there was something-more signs with similar messages upon them, more redstone dust, or some other weird occurence. But when he tired to just leave, he discovered he couldn't leave. He legs would literally stop working everytime he got at least fifteen blocks away from the sign.

From behind him, he heard a voice.

"Why, hello, Gameknight," it said.

Gameknight spun around and had to put his hand over his mouth to keep himself from screaming.

"Herobrine!" he yelped, forgetting that he couldn't leave, but trying to run anyway. He ran so fast that if it was a regular barrier and not a spell, he would have shattered it. Herobrine laughed, seeing Gameknight hit the forcefield and fall to the ground. He walked over and yanked Gameknight up, grabbing his chin and forcing him to look into his eyes. He shivered.

"Why?" he asked Herobrine. "Why must you do this?"

Herobrine didn't answer. He just brought Gameknight closer to him. He ran his finger down the side of Gameknight's face and scratched him lightly, but Herobrine nearly had zombie-claws, so it hurt a lot more. Herobrine went behind him and grabbed his neck, pulling it closer to him. Gameknight pulled away. "Stop."

Herobrine shook his head. "Never."

A tear slid down Gameknight's face. "Please," he begged. "Just leave me alone. Please."

Herobrine leaned down and pulled Gameknight's blue shirt over his head. Gameknight shivered as cold air hit his now exposed chest. Herobrine smiled, seeing the small boy shake. He pushed the boy up against a tree and started biting his ear. Gameknight took a small intake of breath as he felt something run down his ear. Herobrine looked surprised for a second, and then he smiled.

"Ah," he said. "I forgot I installed that."

"What did you install?" Gameknight asked.

"Realism Mod," Herobrine answered. "Had to make Minecraft a bit more realistic."

Gameknight put his hand to his ear.

It's blood, he realized. Herobrine installed a mod that makes me bleed. Crap.

"Right you are, little one," Herobrine said. "I just thought it would be a little more fun this way." He continued to bite on Gameknight's ear, who kept telling him to stop. But Herobrine didn't stop. He moved down to biting his neck, then his arm.

After what felt like forever, he finally stopped, and by this point, Gameknight was still covered in teeth marks and small drops of blood (which just looked like blocky red stains on his body). Tears poured from his eyes.

"I think I'll stop...for now," Herobrine had said when he backed away. "But remember...you only have two days left. As soon as I get my hands on you...we will do that every single day...and maybe even..."

He tugged on the top of Gameknight's pants, who gasped. Herobrine smiled.

"Yes...I do think I will do that...remember...it's either Hunter...or you."
