Mystery Girl

Chapter #04

Author's POV:

She woke up at 7 am and got ready for her university.she reached there but nobody was around as it was quite early.she opened her diary and begun to write her self made quote in order to pass the time.

         _"she was similar to the snow flakes..
                       beautiful but cold"_

She was busy writing when a girl approached her.

"Hello.how are you?" The girl asked.

"Hello I am fine..," I answered her. "How about you". I asked her as she stood their waiting for me to ask.

"M good. Umm .. by the way I am Jian yao" She smiled at me.

"I am Melissah" I smiled back a little.

"Um do you have any friends here? I mean .. r u familiar with anybody?" Jian yao asked.

"Not really.but I hope I can make good friends here."I replied.

"Yeah same here.so .. can we be friends? Only if you are willing.actually I dont know anybody here as well and its kinda difficult to survive without friends" jian yao tried to explain.

Although I dont agree to her point of view about being difficult to survive without friends as for me nobody really matters.the one who really mattered to me aren't with me anymore so it really doesnt make a difference for me if I have friends or not.but somehow I agreed to be her friend.

"Yeah sure" I said nodding my head.

Jian yao sighed and her facial nerves relaxed a bit.

"What are you writing?" Jian yao asked me looking at my diary.

"Uh nothing much.. just random stuff for time pass" I tried to remove her attention from my diary by closing it calmly not to be felt suspicious .

She sat on the desk behind me and we chatted a bit about teachers and university.in fact she tried to chat while I was only nodding my head as I was not so out spoken.she seems a lively girl.

Jackson's POV:

I reached university and went straight to my class.I was moving towards my seat when I saw a girl sitting there and talking to melissah.I stopped in my track as I was kinda surprized.

"Oh so she knows how to talk,I thought she only know how to read her books " I thought to myself.

I approached the girls and stood there looking at my desk.

"Do u need anything?" Blonde haired girl asked me.

"Actually thats my desk" I answered her politely.

"Oh m sorry" she got up from the desk but I stopped her.

"No no u can sit here untill class starts" I assured her that I am okay with it I wont mind her sitting here.

"oh thank you so much" she smiled at me "by the way I am jian yao", she said while extending her hand for handshake.

"I am jackson.nice to meet you jian yao" I shaked her hand and smiled at her.she was kinda cute.

"Melissah.." jian yao signaled her something with her eyes.

"Uh hello I am Melissah" she bowed a little while sitting on the desk.

"Nice to meet you too Melissah" I replied her while thinking about yesterday when I tried to talk to her but she completely ignored me.but now I felt okay as she initiated it.

Me and jian yao talked a bit while jian yao tried her best to engage melissah in our conversation too but it seemed like melissah wasn't interested or maybe it was part of her personality to remain silent.

After a while teacher entered the classroom and students settled down on their respective seats.after teaching us for a while Mr.James begun to talk about our seniors.

"I must say your seniors are very welcoming.they have organized a welcome dinner for all of you this weekend.so enjoy alot" Mr.James said while smiling.

"Yessss!!!" Almost the whole class shouted with excitement in union.

"Calm down calm down.dont make me mad or else I can cancel this dinner as well"

"Andwaeee" again the whole class shouted wispered.

Mr.James laughed at their childish behaviour.

"Grow up guys u r now at ur professional phase of life" Mr.James started to pack his bag and left after bidding a goodbye.

Lectures after lectures passed slowly and finally it was our lunch time.we begun to run towards cafe as all of us were hungry.me,jian yao,malissah and yoon wo sat on a table and begun to eat our food.

"What do your parents do yoon wo? Jina yao asked.

"My dad is a pilot and my mom is a house wife"

"What about you jackson"?

"Um my dad runs a trading buiseness"

"My dad is lawyer" jian yao said.

"Melissah?" Jian yao asked her.

"My parents died in a car accident when I was 13".melissah said blankly.her face didn't showed any kind of sorrow.but her eyes shined a little like there were tears in her eyes.

"Oh I am sorry about it" jian yao said feeling guilty about asking her and hugged her to comfort her but melissah stayed stiffed  in her place.

"May they rest in peace" I tried to console her but she didn't seemed like she was effected.her face remained emotionless and eyes stayed towards food.

Her reaction was kinda different but I tried to divert my mind as melissah was the only thing in my mind since two days.

Our lunch break finished and we returned to our class.

"I am so excited about the dinner.ah what should I wear?"jian yao kept on blabbering on the way back to class.

"You know you can wear anything and still you would look the same as right now" yoon wo replied her.

"Yah r u trying to make fun of me?" Jian yao tried to grab his collar.

"I am being realistic" yoon wo said but soon after that he ran away as jian yao was ready to pounc upon him.

"Yah u punk...wait there.." jian yao shouted and ran behind him to catch him.

"They are such smol kids" I laughed at their weirdness and melissah just noded.

Time Skip,,,

Author's POV:

Week passed really fast maybe because of their busy schedule.whole week jian yao,yoon wo,Jackson and melissah spent most of the time togather in university but as expected melissah was still not comfortable with them.she never participates in any conversation.she would just sit there engrossed in her own world.jackson noticed each and every single move of her. jian yao became a caring friend for melissah.although melissah didn't believed in love,care etc but she started to feel a bit attached to jian yao as she was always caring for her. But she tried her best to maintain a distance.

It was saturday morning and they all woke up late because they have nothing to do.jian yao was excited about the dinner tonight as well as jackson and yoon wo but melissah didn't wanted to go there.she tried her best to convice jian yao that she is tired and she needs rest but jian yao was being stubborn.she told her she can rest on sunday so melissah was left with no other option.she had to attened the dinner in which she was least interested.
