Chapter 1

Maddie's POV

"Maddie! Hurry up, bagal mo!" Avril, my bestfriend said.

Lunch time na at halos wala ng estudyante rito sa classroom.

"Wait," I put the last notebook in my bag before going out the classroom. Naroon na si Avril na nakabusangot. Hindi ko na lang 'yon pinansin at inaya na siya sa cafeteria.

Pagdating namin do'n ay marami nang estudyanteng kumakain. We find vacant seat and there is in the corner, beside the glass wall.

"Ako na ang mag o-order. Anong sa'yo?" sinabi ko na lang kung anong akin at umalis na siya.

Tumingin ako sa labas at kitang-kita dito ang soccer field. The sun is hiding behind the clouds kaya hindu masyadong mainit sa labas. Mayro'ng mga nakatambay sa benches at do'n kumakain ng tanghalian.

This school is very big. With two libraries, the main and the old one. Four buildings for Junior and Senior High. Nasa ibang parte ng University ang building ng grade school at college. One gymnasium, AVR, Music Room, Music Hall, Soccer, field,two cafeterias for Junior and Senior, fountain infront of the main gate and garden at the back of the AVR.

Modern style na rin ang University but not the old library kasi hinayaan lang itong magmukhang luma pero marami pa rin ang gumagamit.

Natigil ako sa pag-iisip ng may mahagip ang paningin ko. He's new. I mean, parang transferee. He's walking alone and I wonder if he's going to the garden.

We're in the same age base on his height, and he's handsome, I must say. With his mysterious black eyes, thick eyebrows, pointed nose that caught my eyes first, and natural red lips. His manly jawline that perfects his features and mysterious aura. And masculine body that makes him more mature than his age.

Why am I checking him? Am I interested?

Pinilig ko ang ulo ko at nawala na rin siya sa aking paningin. I think, he'll go to the garden.

Dumating na rin si Avril dala ang isang tray kung nasa'n ang pagkain namin.

"Tumawag nga pala si Ate kanina, nagtatanong kung gusto ba raw nating sumabay sa training niya?" Avril suddenly spoke while we're eating. Napaisip ako sa tanong niya.

"I'll pass. May gagawin pa kasi ako." napatango tango naman siya sa sinabi ko kaya nagpatuloy na kami sa pagkain.

After eating, pumunta muna kami ng library to find the book that we'll use next subject.

While walking back to our classroom, I'm just alone. Avril take a phone call from her mom so she said I should go first.

May nakabangga akong babae na mukhang nagmamadali kaya hindi niya ako napansin. Nahulog ang dalawang libro at tatlong notebook na dala ko pero hindi niya man lang ako tinulungan. I breath loud and pick one by one.

But I stop when someone help me picking my things. We stand up and he hand me my notebooks. It's the man I saw earlier. I said my thanks but he just walk passed by me.

Nagkibit balikat na lang ako at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad.

Pagdating ko sa classroom, naroon na si Avril.

"Nauna pa 'ko sa'yo? Ba't ang tagal mo?" tanong niya pagkaupo ko.

"Nothing. May nakabangga lang sa'kin." magsasalita pa sana siya kaso dumating na ang Lec namin. Ms. Mariano headed in front of us and smile.

"Good afternoon. You will have a new classmate." saad nito na nagpakunot ng noo ko. We're in the middle of 1st semester so why late enrolled?

I have an idea who the transferee and I'm not mistaken when he entered the classroom.
