It's another night,
The stars casting stray lights,
Glitters the lush greens of earth.
And I stand here,
Under the soft rays,
Of the Celine,
Holding your hands in mine,
I show you the sky lying beyond this darkness,
Which etches a smile on your face,
Sparkling your green eyes.
And under this moonlit night,
We sway to the wheezing of the nocturnals,
As though the nocturne was luring us
Under its alluring dark wings,
We resist but fail miserably,
Causing us to break apart,
And reach for each other's hands.
Now you try to grasp me,
And try to pull me out of this,
As I try to do the same,
But none of us gain,
But drown in this game of fate.
I know you're there,
I can feel your presence,
But its close to nonexistent,
As slowly your breathing starts to fade.
And your being, turns to dust,
Which blows past me,
Like a leaf blown by winds,
But only the difference being,
It was you who left me,
And I who tried to hold you tight,
But to the world,
I remained cruel,
For letting you go.
The thing that none noticed,
Was the love for which I lived,
The love for which I let go.
