Confession

As the group made their way blithely back to the headquarters, Hanji felt a pair of eyes searing into their back, causing them to fling their head around in what probably looked a lasso match between their glasses frame and the ratty end of their ponytail.

It didn't exactly take an intellectual to tell whose eyes were basically engraving what they hoped wasn't death threats into their very "snazzy" trench coat, but this intellectual sussed them out in about five seconds flat. Not a personal best, but they'd live with it.

Levi had been playing eye ping pong with Hanji for the past half an hour and it had gotten to the point in the game where their arms had become tired and their serves and whatnot had become so blatantly obvious even Reigen Arataka could figure them out under the name of psychic powers and the such.

The brunette turned their head in the general direction of the group and just happened to catch the eye of the brooding ravenette who just happened to be staring at them. Or the absolutely horrific amount of filth that had accumulated on their spectacles in the past five hours. They shot back a coy challenge in the form of a swift eyebrow raise and was greeted, not unexpectedly, with a resounding "tch" and complete and utter dismissal.

Well, hello to you too comrade.

Hanji was livid, annoyed, pissed, vexed and several other words to that effect, shaking their head in disbelief at the "outrageous" behaviour from the petit man. Well, in all honesty, they didn't have much feeling towards the situation at all, apart from the mildly concerning thought that this miniscule man was so cute in his mannerisms they wanted to cuddle him like they'd wanted to cuddle those weird humanoid things they'd watched in some anime.

What was it?

Oh, yes, Titans.

Fascinating creatures.

Hanji stumbled slightly, tripping on what they hoped was their shoelace and not the glaringly obvious foot of the strawberry blonde girl who was whistling in what she hoped was an innocent manner, before realizing that the ground had started to draw a little too close for comfort.

Ah, this was the life they had chosen to live.

A pair of strong but laughably short arms wrapped around their waist, effectively catching them before they shared a loving embrace with the floor. The bespectacled brunette looked up with a look of admiration so pure it rivalled that of Eren Jaeger's on their face, about to entrust their lives into the hand of their newfound saviour, but found themselves staring into the ice-cold, charcoal eyes of Levi, so frigid yet beautiful Hanji had to constantly remind themselves to breathe.

They tried to remember their personal beliefs and values which proved their predicament to be wrong in multiple ways.

Oh right. Falling for someone that short, just went against everything they believed in.

In addition, they have to kill the guy, and whilst Hanji had a long bucket list of things they wanted to try necrophilia was not on it.

Levi's face drew closer, closing the already small distance between their faces, noses almost touching and his breath tickling their cheek, a stark contrast to his frigid gaze which froze them in their tracks.

Hanji blinked.

Levi blinked.

Eren blinked?

The air around the pair was thick with tension, whether sexual or not was yet to be decided, as Levi could feel his heart pounding in his chest which he had failed to notice was pressed tightly against Hanji's, who face was about as red as the ominous contents in their equally as ominous syringes and the thought hit him like a ton of bricks.
