Chapter 2

"What do you mean you took the picture?!" I almost scream at Mike. The reason I can't see Luke anymore is because of Mike!

He is sitting on my bed, running his hand through his hair, while I stand next to my door, not wanting to be near him right now.

"No, well, yes, but, just hear me out." He pleas. He is now standing up, walking closer to me.

"What else is there to say? You have always been jealous of mine and Luke's relationship, so you wanted to split us up." I already knew that was the reason. The look in his face tells it all.

"Ha." He scoffs. "Me? Jealous, of your relationship?" He laughs. "That's funny. You're really funny Simon. You don't even love him" Mike sneers.

"Sure, okay. That's why you always had that weird look whenever Luke and I were together. You don't like it. You don't like Luke and I. You never had!" I reveal. "And actually, I do!" I yell.

"You think you know everything don't you. Well, Simon, maybe you should" He gets cut off my Ash knocking on the door.

"Uh, hey Mike, um, you uh, need to go. Mum and dad need to talk to Simon right now." Ash says, earning a nod in response from Mike.

What is it that my parents want to talk to me about?

When Mike leaves, my parents walk into my room.

"Your father and I have thought a lot about this, and we agreed that during the summer, you stay with your grandfather." My mother blurts out.

"What?"

"We think this will be good for you. And no, it's not a punishment. Trust me, you will have a wonderful time." My father reassures me, giving me a plane ticket to Delaware, Colorado, where my grandfather lives.

"Start packing, you have one week till school ends, and then you leave, 3 days later." My mother tells me. So really, I have no say if I wanted to go and spend my summer with my grandfather.

When they leave, I grab my phone, calling the only person I can talk to right now.

"Calum!" I practically yell when I meet up with him at our local park. I run up to him, hugging him, as he hugs me back.

"So did your parents seriously just hand you the plane ticket, with no say what so ever on your part?" He questions.

"Yep." I sigh. "I have no friends over there, even though here, you guys are really my only friends." I laugh. We go over and sit on the swings.

"Well, if it means anything, we're going to be on tour all summer." Calum states.

"What, for five seconds?" I laugh at my own stupid pun.

"Wow. That was just awful!" Calum laughs. "So, you love him?" Calum asks.

I look in his direction. "What?" how did he know?

"Word travels fast, but don't worry, Luke loves you too." Luke and I have been together for about a month and a half almost two, but we haven't told each other that we love them. I kind of wish Luke told me himself, just like I could of told him.

We talk for about 20 more minutes, until I have to go home for some family gathering for Ashton. Some sort of going away party because of his tour.

See, I'm going to be leaving around the same time he is, but I get no party, what is this?

My father was just saying last night that he was embarrassed about Ash, now he's throwing him a party!

"Simon, stop frowning, it causes wrinkles." My annoying aunt says. She is always so perky. Literally, I had 6 cups of coffee one day within like 2 hours, and she was STILL perkier than me.

I really don't understand. How could someone who enjoys eating animals be so happy? It's rude and just plain gross. Look at her, shoving that dead cow in her face.

Yes, I'm a vegan. Eating poor defenceless animals, that's just wrong, on so many levels.

"I'll take note of that Aunt Gallie." I sarcastically say, which just blows over her head, like everything. "Maybe you should not eat that poor cow like its your last meal, you don't want to gain 3 pounds. Size 1 will be too much for you." I bitterly state.

She just smiles and walks away. Yeah that's right, walk away.

"Wow, nice way to make your Aunt cry." Ash says as he hands ma a plate of vegan pizza. Yeah I know, must sound gross to all you meat and dead animal lovers, 'ah a pizza without cheese, pepperoni, bacon,' well I will have you know, it has sauce, mushrooms and pineapples. Mmmm!

"Well, I just hate how she judges me on how I'm suppose to be the smart child and perfect, and I'm not perfect, but neither is she!" I defend myself.

"We all know that is true!" Ashton laughs. "I have a secret for you." He whispers into my ear. "Meet me outside in about 5 minuets. The north side of the woods, the location." Then he slyly walks off.

Sometimes, the kid is really weird. Well all the time he is.
