"You sound so cute when you're sleepy.. " Him seh, then him seh, "Sorry about today, if I push you away it can't be your fault."

"Curtis... " Mi seh, a mek up mi face. "Mi nah go memba nutten tomorrow. Gwaan guh sleep. "

Next mawnin bright an early, mi jump inna di cold water an start hop, jump and skip when mi feel ice a beat down pon mi body.

Same time, mi hear di door open and a girl say, "Sorry. Mi can come back when yuh done."

Mi gwaan soap up mi rag and check pon di curtain fi mek sure seh nutten wouldn't show.

Di water did still feel like ice and when mi hear di door open again, mi did a get ready fi peep through di curtain when mi spin round fast and slip inna di water.

Mi get a piece a drop deh, mi feel it straight inna mi soul.

"Whoever is in there, are you okay?" Mi hear a familiar voice an start pray.

Him come over and move di curtain an help mi stand up and mi sigh. Mi naked as day. Wah type a place only have one bathroom fi everbody?? 

"Didn't know anybody would be in here this early. You alright?" Him ask, but even as him seh so, mi see him eyes a roam ova mi body.

"Yes, Curtis. March yuh yeye dem ova deh suh." Mi seh, a cover mi breasts and private wid mi hand and mi rag.

"But.. God blessed me today. Yuh cah tek weh mi blessings."

Mi roll mi yeye dem. "Think yuh did vex wid mi."

"No sah... Not at all... " Him seh, still a stare.

"Yuh know this nuh fair. Yuh walk in pon mi last night and today an mi neva once even walk in and see yuh collar bone."

Him mek a move fi lift him shirt ova him head and mi seh, "CURTIS!"

Him laugh.

"Wasn't going to do anything Shantel. I respect you. Was just trying to be fair... "

"But.. " As mi say suh, mi stop an think bout it.

I mean, if him wah fi be fair, a who me fi tek weh him chance fi feel like him a be fair?

Plus, curiousity did a kill mi, and all di water did all start feel less cold.
