Troye awoke to the sound of screaming. The shrill shrieks, which certainly did not come from Jacob's mouth, causing him to sit up straight in bed. He was frozen there, the thin strap of his plum-coloured shirt falling from his shoulder, his mind too focused on the sound to do anything about it. And then he heard yelling - yelling that was definitely Jacob. He jumped off of the bed, his feet hitting the floor nearly silently. He ran to the door, grabbing the knob and trying to open it. It barely turned though, the lock on the outside flipped to hold the boy in.

"Jakey?" he called, his voice unsure. He almost immediately regretted saying anything, Jacob was scary. Yelling. Troye thought back to when Jacob yelled at him before, the way he had harshly dug his fingers into Troye's soft skin. He did not care if Troye was hurt. God, the blue eyed boy did not want that. He backed away from the door and got back on the bed, pulling the covers way up. He pressed his hands over his ears, trying desperately to block the noises out. The screaming had stopped, changing to quiet, weak sounding whimpers. Jacob's yelling had also stopped. Troye still tried to block everything out. The sounds sounded like they were being made by someone who was in an incredible amount of pain, and Troye hated to think of anyone in pain.

But then it all stopped.

The house returned to it's normal silence after there was a metallic clatter on the floor. Troye stayed still, basically holding his breath as the lock on the door clicked and the handle turned. Jacob stood there, not saying anything as he stared right back at Troye. The latter was shaking, fear evident in his eyes. Jacob was breathing heavily, his hands clenching and unclenching.

"How much did you hear?" Jacob finally asked, breaking the silence after what seemed like hours. Troye did not speak, not knowing how to answer. Would Jacob hurt him if he said he knew what went on? Well, he did not know what had gone on, but he had an idea of it burning in his mind. "Troye. How much did you hear?"

"I. . . I heard screaming. And yelling. Jakey. . ."

"I'm sorry you heard. I was trying to be quiet but she was yelling and - I would never hurt you."

"What did you do?"

Jacob's eyes hardened, his hands stilling. "That bitch was trying to take you away from me," he growled. "I couldn't let that happen."

"Did you -"

"I killed her. Fucking smashed her pathetic skull in and slit her throat. She wont get you."

Troye wanted to panic, but he did not. He looked at how emotionless Jacob was, tilting his head. "Do you feel bad?"

"No."

"Jakey?"

"Yes?"

"Are you going to hurt me. I mean - are you just telling me that you wont so I don't feel scared of you?"

"Troye - no. I had to kill her or she was going to take you from me. She would have hurt you."

Troye stayed ridged and emotionless as Jacob walked over to him, barely reacting when the older man reached out a hand, using it to gently push Troye back so he was laying flat on the bed. He stayed still as Jacob situated himself over him, staring down into his blue irises for a split moment before leaning down and crashing his lips against Troye's. "Never ever hurt you," he mumbled, grabbing the hem of Troye's shirt and pulling it over the boy's head. "I'm gonna make you feel so good. . ."

Troye whimpered, pulling his lip between his teeth and arching his back, pushing his chest against Jacob's lips. He moaned quietly as Jacob explored his skin, inching his way down to the hem of Troye's shorts, leaving a trail of strawberry-red marks everywhere his kisses touched. Jacob brought his hands to the elastic waistband, slowly drawing the shorts down, exposing Troye completely. Troye's moans are getting higher pitched, his hands grabbing at Jacob's hair as he was touched, touched somewhere that made him feel amazing and confused at the same time. He bucked his hips up into Jacob's hand, something Jacob let him do just because he loved to see the look on Troye's face.
