Watching J, Coco, and Chanel go back and forth, I took Janel and the rest of the kids in the house to open the present in the living room. Shortly after getting the kids situated Chanel comes in and pulls me to the side.
Chanel:" Hey babe, How are the kids?
Me:" they're good, they already ate and now they're playing with the toys."
Chanel:" Good, I didn't want Janel around that. J out handling coco.
Me:" Okay good."
Chanel: " Since we're alone, I was wondering if we can talk about earlier?"
Me:" There's nothing to talk about, I'm Good."
Chanel:" why? When we almost kissed."
Me:" But did y'all tho?"
Chanel: " No."
Me: "So why be mad over something that didn't happen?"
Chanel didn't say anything she just looked down and away from me. I lifted her head giving her reassurance.
Me:" I'm good."
Shortly after That J comes in, and we all chat for a bit.
J:" She's gone, I honestly don't know why she came over,
Chanel:" Don't worry about it. She's gone, that's all i care about."
Janel: " Mommy?"
Me:" mommy busy right now."
Janel:" I can't sleep."
Me:" Here I come baby girl."
I left them alone and check on her.
Me:" Baby girl are you okay?
Janel:" mommy okay?"
Me: " Yes she's fine."
Janel:" I want a story."
Me: "Okay, close your eyes."
She closed her eyes, and I started telling her one of her fave stories Goldilocks and the three bears, by the time I got to the part where Goldilocks broke baby bears chair she was fast asleep. I kissed her forehead and left to the room to get ready for bed.
It seems that J left and Chanel went in the room.
When I arrived to the room, Chanel just got out the shower she came to bed and turned over to go to sleep.
Me:" Are you okay?"
Chanel:" yeah I'm fine.
Me:" What's wrong."
Chanel:" Nothing I said I'm fine.
Me:" Okay, goodnight."
Chanel:" So that's it?"
Me:" that's it what?"
Chanel:" you're gonna give up figuring out what's wrong?"
Me:" what else was I supposed to do."
Chanel: " Idk, goodnight."
Me:" Okay, what's really wrong?"
Chanel:" Just thinking about the kiss that almost happened. "
Me:" baby look at me,its okay. I'm not mad or gonna leave you over something this small. I love you."
Chanel:" I love you too.
i held her in my arms and slep the night away.
