Invitation in Italy

Catalina thought it hard and she will decide it in a later day to come. She doesn't want to jump to another conclusion and does not want to disappoint again. She dismissed their meeting and only she and Luis were left at the conference room.

Again Luis asks her about their invitation to Italy. And she declines the offer.

"Catalina, are you sure you don't want to join us? Alesandra and Nikolai agreed to come. They thought that it was time for you to take your vacation. It won't hurt a little for 5 days off."

"Luis like what I said, I can't come with you. I'm busy and I can't just leave my work here. This is our first fashion show and it's my baby. There are still many things to be done here. No one will do it except me. My ideas are all in my head. And I don't wanna waste my time idling. I'm sorry. I can't. Thanks anyways for inviting me."

He was very patient with me and without any sign of annoyance for hours. Just listening to my rantings. Luis and I became close when he started working in La' Belle House and Renaulthè HR department. I found out that he is smart and a good listener. He is a good looking guy also. A total package. He studied in Harvard and actually a close friend of Nikolai and of course... Steffan.

He was the reason Steffan got his job with his strong recommendation also.

"Is that really the reason why you declined the invitation? Or there's more to it?"

Catalina heaves a sigh and said.

"Luis, you knew me well. I can't even leave my job even for a day, what more 5 days! It's like a year to me. I can't leave the office especially now. I'm working on my lingerie collection."

Luis offers up a slight shrug of his shoulder while smiling.

"Whatever floats your boat, Catalina."

"Hey... " She wanted to give him a valid reason. But Luis just held up his hand and blew his cheeks out. And stood up and left her.

Catalina knew that Luis knows something but she didn't deny or admit anything about Steffan. She is avoiding him at all cost. And from that moment that he caught him with Zoey in his office, she decided to cut all ties and has nothing to do with him. She promised herself that she will treat him like an ordinary employee and colleague. Simple as that. No strings attached.

Luis is in his office thinking of what he had to say to Steffan about Catalina's decision. He needs to extend his invitation also to Alesandra and Nikolai.

Buzz..."Yes, Vivian. What is it?"

"Sir, I have Mr. Nikolai on line 2 and line 3 is Ms. Mandy."

"Okay I'll take Nikolai and please tell Mandy that I'm on the phone. Will call her later. Thanks."

"Yes, sir. No problem sir."..then she connects Nikolai to Luis.
