Alpha Rush was notorious in our world. He is known as the Alpha of the North, a man known for being tactical, cunning, and deadly.
He was also one of the five Kage.
The story goes that the Kage were sent down by Athena. She created the 5 Kage of War: Rush, Alpha of War, Kreed, Alpha of Beasts, Arian, Alpha of Battle, Amara, Commander of the Dead, and Violet, Queen of the damned. It was a prophecy passed down through generations, a seer had named them all and claimed that one day all five Kage would need to unite in order to win our second war.
Most called her crazed and confused, even claimed that seers didn't exist. They called her a witch and murdered her. Decades later, and Alpha Rush was born. A man knowing the way of war, a man with the heart of stone, but an excellent fighter. When Alpha Rush rose to Power at the young age of seventeen, the truth could no longer be denied. The Five Kage were real, and only one has been found. Some speculate that his name and power was a mere coincidence,
if he's a Kage, where are the others?
Though some were still skeptics, the royal family was not, they believed the prophecy. They believed another war would come and they believed that Alpha Rush would be the one to stop it. It has been many decades since a seer had been birthed, some claiming that because of our harsh treatment towards Dela, the goddess would not grant us another. We were ungrateful, and for that, we should be punished.
Though, if a seer were to be born now, it would be different. Guards would surround them, they'd have the protection of the royal family, all wolves would fall to their feet. A seer was rare, and was now said to be a child of the moon goddess.
My feet dragged my body towards the black SUV, not wanting to be awake at such an ungodly hour, but the ride would be long and Alpha Rush is awaiting our arrival.
Loading our things into the cars was the easy part, the hard part is trying to keep still during our 10 hour ride to the Mountain Ash Pack. I sat in the front with Alpha Samuel in the driver seat, and the boys behind us. My feet tapped against the rubber mat of the car, following the beat of the music playing from the radio. The song was low but loud enough to keep me entertained. Though, the chatter of my pack mates drowned out the 80's rock Alpha Samuel put on.
"...Yeah right, one look at you and they're gonna be runnin' for the hills," Ben laughed as Ethan continued on.
"Come on," he practically jumped out of his seat, "you think the ladies will be able to resist all of this." He gestured to his stomach, "six-pack baby!"
My eyes rolled, "a lot of fighters have six-packs Ethan"
He ignored me, "Bam!" he gestured towards his biceps, "You think they got men with these,"
I rolled my eyes again, choosing to keep quiet this time. Even though Ethan had a huge ego, he was a very attractive man. He was built like one of those greek gods, chiseled and almost too perfect, with hair like honey.
They continued to talk about girls as the hours passed. Most of the men in my pack would go to bars and sleep around with any wolf crossing their path. Many she-wolves would willingly throw themselves at a powerful male. It is something wired within us to know who carries power and want them to mate with. Though, there are many who choose to wait of their mates, and not give into temptation.
Mates were a common occurrence. Most found theirs before the age of 20, some had to travel to find them, some packs even held mating balls in hopes of helping their people find their mates. But it was not common for us. Our job was to protect our kind and be willing to die in order to protect another wolf. A mate would make that difficult. We were meant to be disposable, that's why we were created. We all accepted that fact at a young age.
