"So you are saying they banished you from your home because you old enough to care for yourself?" Asher asks her.
She hates lying to him but he can't let him know the truth.
"Yes" she says looking at him sometimes, she wishes she is bold enough to say the truth.
"But how did you find this place? I mean why here?" He asks her. If only he knows.
"I just met myself here" she tells him. She isn't lying about that.
"Maybe it is fate" Asher says jokingly.
"Holy shit" Asher shouts as something leaps on him.
"Stop it catty"Aria shouts at it. The cat stops but stay close to Aria in a protective way.
"A cat? Seriously? Do cats also live in water?" Asher asks curiously. "No, I found it shivering in the rain at to deep sea. It seems it was neglected so I care for it. Now, it is very protective of me" Aria explains shyly. Asher looks at the cat fondly. He hates cats so why is he now fond of it?. He knows the answer. The cat is protecting his woman. What? His woman?.
"I am hungry but it seems it found nothing for me to eat" Aria says. The cat looks guilty but maybe that is his imagination.
"You mean the cat go around and bring you food?" he asks surprise. Aria nods. He feels jealous. Jealous of a cat? who does that?. "What do you want to eat?" He asks her. "Fish soup" she says salivating.
He didn't have foodstuff at home so he decides to call Edey.
"Give me five minutes"he says to her as he jogs in to call Edey.
"I need some foodstuffs and lot of fish" he says knowing he needs to keep all this a secret if he wants to protect her. "Asher, are you drunk? Why do you need fish you never eat them" he asks.
"Can't I eat in peace? I feel like eating them so what?" He shouts at him." Okay, I will there in three hours" Edey says. Asher cuts the call and run excitedly to the pool. He finds her sleeping. She looks innocent and beautiful. The cat looks at him suspiciously. "Catty, you need to lay low because from now on I will be the one feeding and protecting her" he says staring at the cat.
He is definitely going crazy if not, why did he wants to protects a mermaid? He is definitely sick somewhere in his head.
