-Y/N's POV-
"Alright, I will need 8 trainees, 4 boys and 4 girls to be the backup dancers of blackpink, winner, ikon and Big Bang." One of the staff said.
It've been 4 months since I joined yg entertainment and I honestly I feel like I belong here. I mean everything is really tough and stressful but I could handle it.
I fit in almost immediately and even if debut phase seems far, I'm honestly enjoying my time here. I have requested to be in commercials and dramas to earn some money on my own first.
Of course once the staff finished his sentence, many trainees started initiating that they want to perform. I knew that I was good enough but I didn't want to compete for this.
"Y/N, they are choosing the members in an hour, let's go dress up and prepare a song." Chae, one of my good friend in yg said.
"I'm not interested, all the best chae." I said.
"Yahhh, don't tell me you're not even going to try?! I mean remember the jungkook story you told me about? He'll definitely be there." She smirked.
I glanced at her and thought through for a while. It's been 4 months since he saved me, I wonder if he still remembers me.. yea sure he's rude as heck but I'm still an army after all.
"Shouldn't have told you that story, but I'm gonna try, not because of him though. I want a stage opportunity that's all." I said before turning away to our dorm.
"Yea yea whatever you say Y/N, we all know you would still fangirl once he's infront of you." Chae shouted.
After changing into a dance outfit, I rehearsed blackpinks' "so hot" dance move. Honestly I really hope to get selected and see jungkook's reaction when he sees me.
I met Chae on the way to the dance room where the audition for the backup dancers will take place.
I saw 12 female trainees competing for this 4 spots. Honestly I felt slightly discouraged but then again, I'm pretty sure I'll do well.
'Im so so so hot hot' i ended with a hand on my hips as my sweat started dripping down my face.
After pausing for 5 seconds, I took a bow which was then followed by the applause of other trainees.
I grabbed my bottle and sat on the floor next to the other trainees.
"Give me a five! You did well Y/N." Jung hee unnie said. She's a little older than me and has always be supporting me since the start. I gave a slight bow and smiled at her.
After 2 hours of waiting, the results are finally out.
"This was a tough choice as all of you qualify to be in the backup Dancer team, but we only have space for four of you."
"Jung hee, Chae , Dae ni and Y/N." He read out from his phone.
"Pack you luggages and get ready to leave by 7pm." He finish off and walked out the room.
"Yes! Come on Y/N, let's start packing!" Chae said as she dragged me out the room.
We arrived at the airport together with the yg family. We were close to ikon and blackpink as their age was the closest to ours so we talked to them through the whole ride.
Because we were only trainees, we didn't get the business class flight, however our economy flight still had extra leg spaces.
'Would jungkook remember him? If I see him do I thank him? Should I buy him something as an appreciation? Oh god now I regret getting in, I think I should just avoid bts.' I thought.
We reached the designated Country and since the concert was only a few hours away, we immediately went for the rehearsal.
Through the four months of training I had learnt most of the yg family's songs so everything ran smoothly.
-Jungkook's POV-
We finally arrived at the location and once I entered the backstage, a scent immediately hit me.
'Y/N.' I thought.
"Y/N! Hurry up, it's ikon's turn." Someone shouted.
I turned towards where the voice came from and I was greeted by a running Y/N with a huge smile on her face.
A smile unknowingly formed on my face as I see her in that state.
"Isn't that.. the girl seulgi compelled?" Jimin hyung said.
"Yea. I Guess so, don't think too much, she didn't remember the incident when I met her then, she will only recognise us as her idol." I said.
"You met her?" Jimin exclaimed.
"Long story, tell you another time." I replied.
While the make up noonas were helping me with my makeup, Jin hyung passed me a packet drink. Even though it reads tomato juice, it's obviously blood inside.
While drinking it, I looked on the TV screen which displays ikon dancing to love scenario. I noticed a familiar petite figure at the back. I got brought away from reality as I watched her dancing to the rhythm(ta).
"Jungkook, jungkook we're next." Rm hyung shouted.
I snapped back into reality and grabbed my outerwear before joining the hyungs.
"Yah what's wrong with you, I called you a hundred times." Rm hyung said.
"Sorry, wasn't listening." I apologised.
I saw the backup dancers walking towards us and Y/N caught my eyes immediately. We made eye contact but she looked away once it happened.
"Shit." I heard her mumbled.
I chuckled as I 'accidentally' bumped her shoulder while we were crossing path.
"Tsk." I heard her say, which made my smile even wider.
"Yah Jeon Jungkook, look where you're going man." Jimin hyung said before continuing, "you Alright? Miss..." he stopped, probably beginning to realise that it's Y/N.
"I'm alright, thanks Jimin sunbaenim." She said In a really sweet voice.
Which made me cringe but can't help feel a little mad at why she didn't thank me like that.. when I literally saved her life.
"It's nothing." Jimin hyung smiled.
I was too grossed out to continue listening to them so I quicken my pace as I get on stage and start with rehearsals.
"Yah, she's really cute you know, I'm gonna talk to her later." Jimin hyung said.
I scoffed and reply, "yea sure, if you like a stubborn and short girl."
'That was really cool jungkook, good job.' I told myself, but I can't help but feel a little uneasy..
